But it may help ours if we lose the Championship game.

Fair point about LaT. From the link above the AAC has bowls against three P5 schools and against Army and BYU. We get 1 Big10 school 2 MAC and 2 MWC. No head to head AAC/CUSA bowls either.

La Tech vs Houston in Ft Worth would be a great game. I would love for tech to put 50 on a AAC school. I hope we win against the thundering turd and pick this bowl. I want to shut the AAC ******** up.

In protest of the Murder of the UAB Program by the P-5 biased ALABAMA Board, let's have the CUSA Commissioner send UAB to a BOWL GAME! God knows they deserve it more than MT!!!!!

I would love that match up. We always have good games against Houston. And both schools would bring a decent crowd to Ft Worth.

MAC, CUSA and AAC have a rotating basis for several bowl games starting this year. Boca, Bahamas and Miami Beach bowls are involved. We will face an AAC team prolly next year.

Location is about all I like about it. AAC doesn't excite me. Neither does a noon game on Friday Jan 2nd. It would probably be easier to get people there that day than the morning after Christmas though.

I want a bowl with the best possible opponent, fans can attend, and people will watch on TV. If that happens to be in Dallas great. I swear some of you should've just gone to college in Dallas.

Ouch! Before you let your jealousy make you say something you'll soon regret, you need to understand that most LA Tech fans simply want what's BEST for LA Tech. Fact is, playing in the HOD Bowl offers LA Tech a game that its fans can actually attend in large numbers, an opportunity to play a P5 team in front of potential DFW area recruits, and pregame access to one of the country's Top 5 media markets. There are a lot of Bowls that won't offer these advantages to LA Tech.

We aren't talking about the HOD bowl against a P5 team. We're talking about armed forces against AAC. I don't know what you're talking about on the jealousy thing.

If anything I'd say you are jealous of the universities Dallas. I have no problem not being there.

I don't even know what that comment above means. Did you just mistakenly use bad grammar?

For the record YOU made the initial comment, "I swear some of you should've just gone to college in Dallas," which obviously indicates you are frustrated with the fact that so many LA Tech fans want to play in the HOD bowl game. I pointed out all the reasons it's good business for LA Tech to play in the HOD Bowl game.

Hey, if you are going to make the smart comment and level the charge, at least be man enough to follow through and back it up. Don't retreat and act like you don't know what I'm talking about. That's insincere, at best.

You still haven't read the conversation you jumped into. We weren't talking about HOD. We were talking about Armed Forces vs. AAC. I said I wasn't thrilled about the opponent. AAC opponent...in Armed Forces...Not P5 opponent in HOD. I'm for the HOD bowl. I was responding to someone who said they just wanted any bowl as long as it was in the metroplex. And no I still don't know what you think I'm jealous of.

And yes I meant "Universities in Dallas."

The Armed FORCES Bowl against an AAC team is 10 times better than a far flung game against MWC or MAC.
We would have better attendance
We would stand to gain more by beating a contemporary
We heavily recruit the Metroplex
It's a no brainer.

Not really. We have 22 commits and 1 is from Irving. Last year we had 1 from Arlington and 1 from Rowlett. That's 3 of 47.

Also not just football. We have a lot of alumni and recruit students from the Metroplex. We just hired a full time recruiter there this year.
