Mitch Guadagni and #1 Hudson vs #4 Mentor -- D1/R1 Regional Semi-Final
Div. 1 / Region 1 Semi-Final.
(If you're wondering why I changed the Subject a couple times, my original sources were calling it the regional semifinal, yet for some reason the guys on the radio broadcast were calling it the regional final and the next game the state semi-final. After rechecking sources I have concluded that this game is the Regional Semi-final and the guys on the radio are whacko.)
Tonight (11/22): 7:00p@ Univ. of Akron

RE: Mitch Guadagni and #1 Hudson vs #4 Mentor -- D1/R1 semi-final
Read a tweet that Indiana was knocking on the door last night and may end up offering Guadagni. Also in the tweet was that Guadagni may arguably be the best QB in the state of Ohio.
Unfortunately, I don't see this kid sticking with the Rockets.

Planned on heading over to Info to watch Mitch first hand but Mrs is not feeling the best so staying home. Have talked to a number of people from Hudson and in the football community and they are all impressed with him as a player and person. Gut feeling is he will be UT starter in 2017 with snaps in 2016!

If he wants to play QB in college, I hope he sticks with us. He's the type who could break some records here and be a 4-year starter if he redshirts. Indiana would probably make him switch to receiver. Switching positions to play at a school that has no better shot at being in the top 25 than Toledo wouldn't seem terribly appealing.

Wow, watching the game on Fox Sports Ohio and Guadagni just threw a perfect 40-yard strike for a TD. Beautifully placed.

Yeah. Wouldn't be a surprise to see him go the way of the kid from Michigan. Come on February!

Speaking of him...did he actually decide to transfer from Wake Forest already or was that just a rumor?

A TD better than the in-season game, Hudson is the new kid in the final four of Moeller, St.Ed's, and Huber Heights.
Moeller going for their third in a row.
St. Ed's won their first over Huber Heights Wayne in 2011

He'd be better off at Indiana given their history of winning and sending QB's on to the NFL.
Seriously, if he is also a top notch student and realizes football will get him a scholarship to a top nationally recognized school - we will have a tough time holding on to him. If he wants a solid degree in programs such as pharmacy, engineering, and a few others - he will do just as well by sticking with his commit to Toledo.
The degree from a Big Ten school is a good thing, but people will remember a guy that was a great student AND a nationally recognized QB from a mid-major more than a guy who played 2 years at a Big 10 school with just moderate success with a traditional bottom feeder.
That is not my best recruiting speech - it needs some polish...

RE: Mitch Guadagni and #1 Hudson vs #4 Mentor -- D1/R1 Regional Semi-Final
our QB situation is going to be muddled-to put it nicely-the next couple years. we have the talented, recently badly injured and largely unproved 36 year old ely attempting a comeback. the well liked gamer with average talent and some inconsistency woodside/dantin 2.0, the big talented julien who has fizzled in his two bight light auditions, the seldom mentioned up and comer in gibson, and (probably) the stud recruit guadagni.
and our qb of the future is...
