It also sounded like he was pimping out the Liberty Bowl to do what ever it takes to get the VOLS to come to Memphis for the game. It's been a LONGGGGGG time since we went to a bowl, so I'm ready to go see the Tigers play in an out of town bowl game. However, it sure would be cool to see the Liberty Bowl packed with Memphis fans for the bowl game we have always wanted to go to.

I talked to someone last week that knows people at the LB office and he said they desperately want UT here.

Pray UK beats UT as UT will do any and everything to avoid playing little ole Memphis...

If UK knocks off UT...Memphis vs Kentucky in B'ham become likely.

If we take 20k to Birmingham on Jan. 3, I'll be flabbergasted and thrilled.

In most cases, those are the same ones who say the AAC isn't good enough.

UT will not beat Missouri. That said, if they lose to UK then they won't even be bowl eligible.[/i]

Nothing new there. UT-K, Ole Miss and Arkansas are always coveted by the Liberty Bowl when they are available. With the exception of Vanderbilt, their craving for SEC teams is inversely proportional to the square of the distance between the school and the city of Memphis.
