I know Vegas says that is an upset, however all reality is would not be an upset if you have witnessed us play at home the last 5 seasons...Historically since joining FBS, we have a better road record than home...This added to the fact we are having a blackout equals easy win for ODU...

To make ODU fans feel better about your chances, we are like 0 and 6 when we wear black jerseys, haha..

I have no freaking clue why the admin. continues to roll out the black jersey...IMO they should be burned....I like the look of the black jerseys too just seems we are cursed whenever we wear them..Combined in basketball and football over the last several seasons we are 0 and 10 while wearing black....The curse does not carry over for our womens teams, haha...

RE: Wk. 9: Lines in the Sand
North Texas @ Rice - Rice back on the rise, looking more and more like the West's second bowl team.
UAB @ Arkansas - I'm not that big of a homer.
FAU @ Marshall - Yep
LaTech @ Southern Miss - Southern Miss hasn't improved that much yet.
Old Dominion @ Western Kentucky - Last team with the ball wins?
UTEP @ UTSA - Yep
James Madison @ Charlotte - Yep

Not a great slate of games. ODU-WKU might be the only close one this weekend. Or I might be completely wrong.

Again, most of our regulars have picked their picks, and the trending is (as of 12:00 on Friday), as follows:

Rice over North Texas (27 picks to 0)
Arkansas over UAB (24-3)
Marshall over FAU (26-1)
LaTech over Southern Miss (20-7)
Western Kentucky over ODU (20-7)
UTSA over UTEP (22-5)

James Madison over Charlotte (18-6)

Some pretty strong trends showing up this week.

RE: Wk. 9: Lines in the Sand
Another week with a single "Perfect Picker". This time olliebaba was the only voting member to get a perfect score, with most of us tripped up by the UTEP/UTSA outcome. Nevertheless, there were 8 "pickers" with 6 correct picks.

Not only did nastybunch retain his lead with 61 total picks for the first 9 weeks, he actually increased his lead to two over his next rivals, by correctly picking 6 of the 7 games. The race is still tight so any of a number of trailers can pick up the grand prize at year end (which ain't nothing...truly). Cnelson203 and Dawg87 follow at 59 correct picks; followed closely by Stick4489 (57); olliebaba (55); CincyDave (54);BeliefBlazer (53); ODU AGGIE and Digi368 tied at (51); and ATTALLABLAZE (50).

Here are the results from this past week:

Rice - 41 over North Texas - 21: Owls break it open in second half
Arkansas - 45 over UAB - 17: Hogs start fast to trip up Blazers
Marshall - 35 over FAU - 16: Devon Johnson runs over Owls setting school rushing record
LaTech - 31 over Southern Miss - 20: Bulldogs in control of own destiny in the West
Western Kentucky - 66 over ODU -51: Say, what??? 117 Total Points in Offensive slugfest
UTEP - 34 over UTSA - 0: Miners crush 'Runners at the Alamadome.
James Madison - 48 over Charlotte - 40: Dukes take control in third quarter.
