He would have made a hell of a tight end.

RE: CMU's best former player on display tonight.
I would donate a small animal for him to do bad things with.
For the MAC Conference, of course. To put the fear of God into those who mess with us all. Toledo oddly holds the torch against P5 vs Iowa State and their silly little "mascot". Honestly, do Tornado chasers go there? I don't think so. IF so, it better be the Rockets laying claim to the MAC West (gotta represent).
And, of course, to pump things up for an improved WMU in Mt Pleasant that Darnell could never solidify.... with the power of a 1,000 field mice -- PJ Fleck will conquer all in that game when we go there. Barring missed XPs, of course. :)

I enjoyed watching the pride of Bronco Basketball - Joe Reitz - play significantly on the Colts' OL last night...

Drat, I missed it then. How did Joe look? Was he playing a guard position?
I need to check out how he is doing?
Always proud to be a Bronco.

He would have made a hell of a tight end.
He was upset because CMU coaches wanted to move him to the defensive side of he ball. He went to Wisconsin and they moved him to DE. The rest is history.

Ironic to say the least.

I'm not really sure what position he was playing on the OL - I had kind of forgotten about his role on the Colts prior to watching last Thursday night's game. He played a lot, though, and the Colts offense has been great so far this year...

Colonel, I remember him playing the guard position. That is what I would have been watching if I wanted to spot him. I'm bummed with the TV cameras however, they never shine them on the backs of the offensive linemen, the people that really makes the offense run. I end up straining my eyes to glimpse the brief moments that they are on screen.
Always proud to be a Bronco.

Acer - I recently decided to begin posting here, but I had been a longtime "guest" and I echo the feelings of many here that it is great to have you back! While trying to find out more about Joe's current status on the Colts' OL, I stumbled across this article from the Indianapolis Star a couple of weeks ago. I think you and others here will really enjoy it:

It sounds like Joe and his family are doing well, and it is always good to see a former Bronco representing us so well!

Colonel, thanks for posting the article. I see Joe once in a while when he comes to the Zoo for basketball games, and it is great to see the success he has. The article is right, his family is wonderful and we have enjoyed them throughout his years on the basketball team.
Any time you see something about him, I'd enjoy sharing with a few of his other Bronco friends in the area.
Always proud to be a Bronco.
