All college fan bases are arrogant, overbearing, and delusional.
Except ours, of course.

Well, I wouldn't put our fans on that level in comparison to others. I think MAC schools will be that way once they start winning. I noticed last year NIU's fans, with Lynch, were starting to take that on, overlooking the flaws I could see (Lynch not being able to throw spectacularly; their D giving up too much to be so Elite) that wouldn't make them a late 90s Marshall.
I think the big P5 teams with a historic record are the ones with the delusional fan-bases.
Although in the beginning of the year, one EMU fan laid out on their forum that it'd be SILLY to think EMU would get any less than 8 wins, and that he saw them at 10 W's. LOL. But they really don't have fans, so they can't count.

I have yet to find a more arrogant fan base.

Make a trip to Eugene and you will change your mind.
WW, might as well call out those fans in Toledo here and see what happens; am I right?

Hoke just wasted 2 timeouts to challenge a play that wasn't even close.
He should be fired just for that.

RE: Turmoil in AA
I thought that this was clever and well written...
Michigan Football passed away peacefully on September 21, 2014 after a long battle with football relevance. Michigan Football was preceded in death by the Big Ten Conference and Bo Schembechler. Michigan Football will be remembered for its arrogant and delusional fan base who referred to themselves as the "Winningest Football Program" despite them playing football 30 years prior to anyone else.
Michigan Football is survived by its coach Brady Hoke and legions of still delusional fans who still believe they are the "Leaders and the Best". In lieu of flowers, the University of Michigan is asking for donations to be made in its name to Orthopedic Hospitals throughout the Midwest for the treatment of broken ankles and other injuries associated with fans jumping off the team’s bandwagon.
UM hospital has completed years of research on head injuries, and found out they hired one as football coach.
A public viewing will be held in October in East Lansing with Michigan State University burying the casket.

The mythical Michigan Man.
Column is spot-on. Very big conundrum or dilemma at U-M, trying to compete in present while clinging to the past.
Brady is fond of saying, "This is Michigan!"
Question is, what does that even mean anymore?

Listening to the Huge Show. Simmonson points to PJ Fleck contrasting him to Hoke.
"Everyone made fun of Fleck because he thought out of the box, wasn't your traditional type coach. Played a lot of true freshmen and developed them. Now he's got a team that's tearing it up and they're still very young. Nobody's making fun of him now, but they're sure making the program that never deviates from tradition."
BAM
Ahhh, I remember when we fired Harbaugh, and Schembechler laid the wood on WMU for firing a Michigan Man. Took 30 years, but that wipes that memory away.
I pray they keep hiring Michigan Men

Harbaugh only had one winning season in the MAC conference play, out of 5 seasons -- and it was his 1st with inherited players! He ended his last season going 3-5 in MAC play, and 3-8 overall. Would have been silly to keep him.

You NEVER fire a Michigan Man, especially when he came with a Bo Schembechler recommendation, and his kid is your starting QB.
Schembechler thought so little of WMU he sent Schemy Jr. here to go to school.
