And please don't use Franklin. Many of us thought he was going to be good, but none of us really thought to this extent.

What aspect or individual has you looking forward to the future that isn't named Jarvion Franklin.

Corey Davis has been quieter than last year, since we haven't been forcing things to him. I bet he makes a splash this weekend.

Save the splashes for EMU, CMU, BSU, and Miami. We might get 6 wins! Throw in Ohio and head out for the Bahamas.

Playcalling. We've been doing a much better job so far playing into our strengths and not trying to force 20 yards on every play.

Jaime Wilson has been really quiet too. Weird. I guess Franklin's carriers are taking away from his targets.

I agree there seems to be better play calling. As well as game planning. So the coaching staff does deserve a little bit of credit. With PJ being so young, there is some learning for him to continue as well.

Maybe Ciarrocca was never really that bad? Could be he just didn't have the players to execute what he was looking to do.

He was pretty well regarded out of high school, but I don't think anybody knew he was going to be this explosive. Credit to him, and the training/strength staff for getting him back to maybe even better than where he was after his injury.

Honestly, my biggest surprise is the scheme the OC is using and how effectively he is getting our playmakers in position to be effective. Braverman, Franklin, Davis...

I'm not at all disappointed in Coach Ciarrocca so far. That is very surprising to me. He's doing a good job with the playmakers we have.

Yes, the evolution of both he and our head coach and how they work together has been great. Surprised that our offense passed our defense.

DB getting banned, I don't come here for a couple days and the first thread I read shows a major contributor has been banned. Don't bring that discussion into this thread if I want to find out why I'm sure it's covered in another.

OR did you mean football related? In which case not a player, but the running game, great new talent and the OL has stepped up.
