A little early, but oh well...... GO BRONCOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know its a 10 year running joke that we have never scored against them. I think we will score some points and my hope is to keep it competitive. They are still a solid team despite the losses. I think our chances for a victory are very slim, but it would be great if we keep it close.

Most depressing day for me as a WMU fan, having a then #5 VaTech team come to Waldo, and it didn't even sell out. Then they put the bagel on us too.

Opportunities were there. We were down 3-0 with about 3 minutes left in 1st half. I think Drach had a cast on his non throwing hand and we were using a two quarterback system. Non sellout was a surprise......they made us students pick up our tickets at UA. Great tailgates that day. The excitement was there and student section was rocking.

I have been to all but 1 or 2 home games since 1964 and the site of the full student body sections all in black with their thuderstikcs as you entered the stadium from the top on the pressbox side is far and away the most stunning visual image I can recall. Better than the huge crowds vs CMU or any things i have seen in the past 50 years in Waldo.
Here's hoping I get to experience this feelin again soon.

Yes! It was a great atmosphere in the student section that day.

Until all the students left at the start of the second half.

You must not have been there. Student section was packed at Va Tech. Only way to get tickets was to go to UA a few days before game. Marshall was walk up and show ID. Community didn't show up for Va Tech, students did.

I was at both. Marshall game had VaTech it beat, complete sellout, on TV for one of the first times at Waldo.

We had a good thing going....until Pennington put on a show.

Those were a great couple of seasons for the fanbase
