Point of clarification... are we talking within Idaho's program, or within WMU's program?

Both are equally credible since neither could suppress this independent of the other.

I am wondering if it has not been brought to the attention of our administration/officials... and the individuals within the program that Drew talked with have not been notified...
Seems a bit interesting if there was malicious intent to do actual damage to the idaho facility before leaving by any players... and that if such damage DID occur that we don't have some sort of follow up crew that checks that we left it the way we found it... I still have a hard time believing this story has ANY momentum at this point...

RE: Is this true?
For another thing... There are pic's of Kathy B and Bill Brown outside the locker facilities on twitter... I can't imagine any coach(es) would allow ANY less than upstanding behavior to go un-handled in front of their boss before leaving the facility... I am sure that Bill was likely INSIDE the locker facility with the team when the game ball was awarded to him... I would think that if we went all Motley Crue hotel rampage on that place that he might have taken notice and probably would have been less than thrilled with the behavior of our student athletes...

Alright, nvm... I'm changing my tune. +1 to DD for looking into it, even though it turned out to be a giant waste of everyone's time.
Somebody out there in potato country has some 'splainin' to do.

I'm not sure the Idaho Vandals are responsible for that rumor. We have enough vandals in our "fan"base who are looking for any angle.

Have you been following the Idaho scout board on this? They have a couple long standing posters INSISTING that the Idaho Administration is livid with the situation... something is amiss here... I hate to say they are making this all up, or somebody has an agenda... but man... something just doesn't sound like its adding up...
Maybe its DB out there making ID's on the Vandals board and on twitter riling up the Spuds over a fictitious locker room debacle in an effort to smear the bronco coaching staff...

Again, I think that since it's their first home game, and they have shared locker rooms, with a disappointing loss they saw it was "used up". I would say Idaho officials just waved off the complaints from janitors about an overflowed toilet and a mess left, while someone knocked out a ceiling tile or something. Whoo hoo.
The janitor probably was Pissed having to do this job all over again (or he's new) -- and he just spread the word to his Vandal fans who yelped about it w/ exaggerations.

RE: Is this true?
I know that there are several football coaches on this forum. I imagine that many of you have coached youth sports or travel sports or high school sports. I have coached high school basketball, youth basketball, and travel softball. In each situation, we always made sure that the locker room, or the dugout, was neater than we found it. When the game was over, one of the coaches went back and checked the locker room or the dugout to make sure it was in good order. I can't imagine any less is done at Western Michigan or any other college program. I would be shocked if this allegation were true.

RE: Is this true?
From a moderator/poster on the Idaho scout site... seems to be someone may have snuck into an area where they weren't supposed to be and made the mess... could be anyone...
Quote: imagine we will get the full story soon.
One thing I may not have made clear in one of my earlier posts. I am fairly certain WMU did NOT dress in the women's track team locker room All UI varsity locker rooms contain athletes' private property, electronic equipment, furniture, etc. for use by that team and staff secured by combination door locks. The visiting team locker facilities are two adjoining rooms with lockers and benches, chalk board, each with a restroom and each with a shower room. A door between them is opened for a football team to have as much room as possible.
Both rooms are access from the hallway pictured in the post (with the team listening to the coach). There are two hallways leading into the main hallway and each those access points are secured when a visiting team is in the locker rooms.
I have no doubt the WMU staff assigned to clean up after the team left the facility did their job in the locker rooms, restrooms and shower rooms. If as alleged someone got into a varsity team locker room the WMU staff would have no way - or reason - to see that or find out about it.
Anyway, this report/rumor surfaced Saturday night and today is the first day staff has been on duty at either university. Whatever happened -- if anything happened -- will no doubt be discussed between the two schools and dealt with appropriately.

Sounds more like it, but I love the paranoid thinking here insinuating I paid some random thugs to trash it and then signed on to their board to start a crisis.
Just when I think you can't get any more crazy, you top it.

My freshman year we beat Ohio on a last second goal line stand where they thought that they had scored. They trashed our visitors locker room and that was 35 years ago.....so yes it does happen.

RE: Is this true?
the question is how much time passed between when the football team left and when the mess was discovered. was it minutes? hours? if it was immediate why didn't Idaho reach out to the Bronco staff before they left town and if it was hours then how do we know someone else didn't get in there and do the damage knowing that someone else would be the suspect?

Good question. Probably because the story was fabricated. I'm going with that.
