RE: Ace reporter Julie "Scoop" Mack has another article on WMU football
So now your fallback is riding Acers coattails? I have no idea what you are talking about, but as long as it perpetuates a never ending argument with someone, ANYONE, you've achieved your goal.

Willie the Janitor, Mr. Smith the part time teachers aid, and Touchdown Billy, the former HS star and perpetually unemployed factory worker are the future of HS Coaching.
The time needed simply is more than many teachers can afford to give up. Between grading papers, endless mandated paperwork, and time away from their own family it just isn't worth it. It's hard enough trying to please perpetually skeptical parents that their child has academic limitations, without having to explain to them that their child may not get recruited by Brady Hoke.
The money is insignificant when you break it down into hours spent, but for Janitor Willie, Mr. Smith the part time teachers aid, and perpetually unemployed Billy the former HS star it's serious cash. Of course all of these will put their kids in star positions and will be accused of nepotism and they'll eventually be dismissed for a DUI, a drug offense, or fighting with a police officer.
The parents will be outraged and demand the superintendent hire Al Fraccass sp from Brother Rice, or at least Mr. Johnson the 7th grade football coach. But when Al and Mr. Johnson say they're not interested, and Willie, Billy, and Mr. Smith can't pass a background check they'll be left scratching their heads wondering why nobody wants to coach their amazing children at their amazingly elite high school.
Great post, funny, but disturbing.

A Warren coach (but not a teacher) was recently charged for child porn. A Romulus FB coach and AD (but wasn't a teacher) was recently canned for dropping the N-bomb too many times. Two of the last three K Central bball coaches were fired for behavior issues, neither were teachers. A women's coach at a local Class A HS was let go a few years back for inappropriate relations with players. He was not a teacher either. There are 300,000 people in metro Kalamazoo. That ain't Hooterville.
A state title winning hockey coach from one of the Grosse Points was canned for taping the players in the locker room. He's in prison.
