possible navy upset?
Navy may get a break to start the season with a home game vs Ohio State without Braxton miller.

Navy gave OSU a run for there money a while ago and Georgia not to long ago either(Think it was Georgia, Now I'm thinking it was South Carolina). OSU should be huge favorites but Navy is incredibly scrappy.

2011: South Carolina 24, Navy 21. At South Carolina.

Georgia hasn't played Navy since 1957 and (despite all the history) has never played Army or Air Force.

Don't they still have Guitten(sp)? If so, combined with that good old B1G home cooking, they'll probably still blow the doors off of Navy.

No Guyton has no eligibility left. Played 4 years.

But it's Urban Meyer. I'm sure he will get someone to play great at QB.

That sucks, I predicted Ohio State as a Playoff team.

Anyways, until Navy is in the AAC. I'm not following there season to closely. There have been expansion teams in the past that you rooted for that left and never played a down in the AAC.

Guiton graduated and was last seen on an AFL roster. Ohio State would start a RS Dual threat QB. Your luck can change quickly in College football, this is way worse then ESPN is making it out to be. Miller was one of the best QB's in all of college football. Cincy should be licking it's chops.

It is darn strange that Georgia never played Army. Georgia made regular trips to New Haven to play Yale in the 1920's. I am surprised that Army never signed off on a series because Army lost a lot of top notch opponents with the Academy's insistence on granting three more years of eligibility to previous collegiate players. Navy even refused to play Army in 1928-1929.

Take Navy and the points. They won't win, but they are a solid team. Their QB is a stud option QB.

Navy, not so much. But if the injury is serious, Cincy could have their way with them.

You said it, hope Cincy can pull off the upset. That would be huge for them and our conference.

JT Barrett is a dual threat guy who isn't quite as fast as Miller, but has a better, more accurate arm. UC will have to put pressure on him in order to make a difference between the 2 QBs.

OSU's strength is going to be on their DL, which may be the best in college football this year. Very deep, very good. That is what concerns me... UC has a QB starting his 3rd game ever in 1 of the most brutal away game stadiums in the country... 105,000+ (they added more seats this year) screaming fans. I don't think that Miller being out is going to be a huge deal for them at home.

Hate to see this happen to any anyone . That said Navy , UC and others may have caught a huge break . However OSU was not ranked preseason #5 because they just had a really good QB. Still gonna be an uphill battle , especially in Columbus . Go Navy ! Go Bearcats!

Between Navy, Va Tech and Cincinnati I'm hoping Ohio State picks up at least ONE loss (and hey, it wouldn't hurt my feelings if the Buckeyes start 1-3).
