why was he cleared for immediate eligibilty?

sick grand-ma-ma? how many times does the huckster get to play that card?

does the socon txfer have a sick third cousin twice removed that has a cough cough stroke? why isn't he eligible immediately?

why ware?

i understood what happened with harrell. calipari kicked him to the curb and ncaa wanted to remove some of the uk sleaze from that move and cough cough stroke.

But if he doesn't, I'll be waiting for the spin class to come by and explain to us why he wasn't a good fit, and he didn't buy into the program, and he wasn't a team player, yadda yadda yadda.

So for us to act like sports fans everywhere? Right now it's June and he's immediately eligible!!!!

I'm just saying, every single player that transfers to State, or yall sign in February, is crowned the savior of the program. It's fun watching yall recant everything when they don't pan out.

You just flat-out pulled that straight out of your arse. We have gotten some good transfers, but the consensus judgment is that none of them are the "savior" of the program, because if anyone gets that moniker, it is RJ.

I'm thinking more along the lines of football with the "savior" thing. I don't follow MBB close enough to know who yall have gotten over the years.

Anyway, congrats on the pickup. And like I said in my OP, hope he works out for you guys.

That's right. Southern is horrible in basketball... I wouldn't expect you to "follow MBB close enough."

Oh I'm sorry I didn't realize one good season made you the automatic world-beaters of SunBelt MBB, or did you forget that you've only had 2 seasons over .500 in the last 10 years?

- We have a slightly better lifetime record than you.
- Hold a 31-13 (.704) advantage over you.
- Have been to the NCAA tournament 1 more time than you have.
- We have finished over .500 three MORE times than you have since 2000.

So... yeah I'm going to continue to talk smack until I see your recent success lasts longer than a year or two. I for one will admit we have had bad basketball for a number of years; however, 1 conference ring doesn't exactly give you permanent bragging rights.
I'm sorry you go to Southern where the basketball stinks. Get over it.

Oh god i love this so much.
Remember WKU talking smack last off-season? And then we wiped the floor with them twice? I remember keeping their chat box open during the game so i could read back through it afterwards, the awesome schadenfreude derived from that night was incredible, listening to the disbelief at just how badly we could demolish a team.

You know, i just can't enjoy it as much when it comes from a southern fan, because it was surprising to a good WKU that they lost. When southern gets thrashed by GSU, the fans are going to be so used to it it's not going to be newsworthy, it's not going to be a surprise, it's just going to be another crappy loss by a crappy team. But listening to the crap i'm hearing from these southern fans, there is just a little bit of a spark of hope left, because only a truly delusional fool would talk the smack these guys are talking. Maybe these guys truly believe they have something to talk about. So here's to you delusional southern fan's, for giving me something to look forward. But this time, it wont be WKU, it'll be the inferior school in the middle of nowhere, GA, and that might make it that much more enjoyable.

I'm glad GA St. had a good year in basketball and looks to have a couple more coming, the conference needs it. But some of their fans make it really hard to wish them well. This is why CAA fans were so happy to get rid of GA St. They assume they will be good without any history of greatness, then when they have a little success they handle themselves like this.

Try and hold back from posting a "clever" pic king of the offseason.

Some transfers sit out. Some get hardships. Has the NCAA never granted a hardship waiver to anyone for WKU?

RE: Kevin Ware cleared to play immediately by NCAA
Every once in a while I have to come over here and revel at the spectacle which is the #Funbelt war on Straw.

GSU Fan: "Kevin Ware was deemed eligible to play this season. He played on the Championship team at Louisville."

Random SunBeltbbs poster #1: "You think you are going to win the NCAA tournament now. Well, you are not and that is a stupid thing to think."

GSU Fan: "But...I...Didn't...Say...That..."

Random SunBeltbbs poster #2: "Just because your MBB team won the regular season last year, you think you are some kind of dynasty. You think you have always had a dominant basketball program! GS used to have a much better basketball team than GSU! How dare you post something about MBB without including a statement about how GS used to be better! Don't pretend that GSU always had a good basketball team!"

GSU Fan: "But...I...Didn't...pretend..."

Random SunBeltbbs poster #2: "Stop saying that Ware was a starter for for Louisville. He was a bench player."

GSU Fan: "I...know..."

And on and on it goes. You guys over here can definitely kick the crap out of the shabby-ass straw men you build. Carry on.

they were the most hated fan base in the CAA, and they are now the most hated fanbase in the Belt. I know our fans can be obnoxious, but holy hell

I don't think he will answer. He is too busy trying to paint Ron Hunter as some kind of smooth talking Grifter.

Dahbeed doesn't actually have any information, but throwing innuendo and slime is easy.

By the way, as someone who knows the Harrows personally, I find the "cough cough stroke" thing particularly noxious. Ryan's father is at every game. Ryan's father is very obviously disabled.

It's OK to be a hater, but have a little class.

Now that ya'll have a few players, will you please play someone with a pulse OOC? I know all those wins over girl's JV teams look good, but your OOC schedule kept you from getting an at large bid last year.

Scheduling has not been easy and gets harder with the Ware decision, some fans are hoping that WKU is not too scared to schedule a home and home with us now that they are OOC.

You know what they say about glass houses and all. We all have to get better at scheduling OOC. I think Coach Hunter really wants to make that happen so we don't crap like losing the last game doesn't hold us back. Our only scheduled OOC right now is USM. That's not so bad.

Or maybe more guys come from out of Atlanta and go elsewhere? It makes it much more likely that they will be able to apply for a hardship to come home. Not as many prospects call Bowling Green home.

The jealousy dripping from these posts is tasty.

As the guy on ESPN said, Ware got a transfer because he suffered the worst injury most basketball fans have ever seen, and then was injured for most of last year. The fact that he transferred back to his home town made a waiver possible.

Atlanta produces a lot of talent, and when that talent wants to come back home, we provide a good place to land. So it shouldn't suprise anyone that this happens and that it will happen more in the future. Accordingly, I would suggest that you....

Get. Over. It.
