personally, I think Menzies would be better hire

I personally agree. Yes Haith has had higher profile jobs, but quite frankly he's lucky to not have been fired by Miami, and this appears to be a move to avoid being fired as well.

Either Haith or Menzies would be strong hires.

I liked Menzies more than White or Haith too. That said Haith isn't a complete bum. It's hard to win at Miami in the ACC, he did a decent job and he did have a 30 some win season at Mizz. Not his guys but it does show he's not going to drive it in the ditch either.

We'll have to pay White, but we'll get him if we want him. Now with our deadbeat AD, who knows we'll want.

Very interesting news if it happened. Would be to me a great move for Tulsa.

Dam, that run by UConn is paying immediate dividends. Do it one more year so Tulane can easily hire White from LA Tech

why would it be easy to hire White? he wants to go to the SEC or some other big school

Because if the trend continues, our league will be as good or better than the SEC. He knows the LA market and TU probably offers better job security.

how would that be better job security when Tech just gave him a 6 year contract? White barely recruits Louisiana to begin with, he sticks with MS & Florida

Job security at TU vs SEC. Forget about LA Tech, he gone.

Jeff Goodman ‏@GoodmanESPN 52m
Tulsa is in final negotiations to hire Missouri's Frank Haith, barring a last-minute collapse in talks, a source told ESPN.

I had to look him up.

Sorry if everyone else already knew this, but Cusamano is the CBS sports guy in St. Louis MO… I guess he is probably plugged in with what's going on at Mizzou.

I have questions about him anyway, primarily in recruiting. So if we can find someone we really like better, wonderful. But I cannot stomach another Dickson dog-and-pony-show.

Really? I've only heard positive things about him.

You said it.

If Conroy can't fill a couple of gaps on the roster (and does anyone have faith that he can?) we could easily be looking at a 2-16-type of conference record next year.
