How many of these 20 games do you think the AAC can win?

What would be the 3 most eye opening wins for the conference out of these games?

Cincy: @ Ohio State, @ Miami (Florida)
UCONN: BYU, Boise State
ECU: South Carolina, @Virginia Tech, North Carolina
Houston: @BYU
Memphis: @UCLA, @Ole Miss
SMU: @Baylor, Texas A&M, TCU
Temple: @Vandy, @Penn State
Tulane: Georgia Tech, @Duke, @Rutgers
Tulsa: Oklahoma
UCF: Penn State (Ireland), @Missouri, BYU
USF: Maryland, NC State, @Wisconsin

My picks:
1. Cincy over Ohio State,
2. ECU over South Carolina,
3. tie between SMU over A&M and Tulsa over Oklahoma

..... the most likely imo....
UCF over Penn State
Tulane over Rutgers
USF over Maryland and Cincy over Miami (FL)

I agree with this. As one poster said, an ECU win over VT isn't what it used to be...though it would carry more weight than a UCF/Temple win over Penn St (PSU has fallen further than VT). They are still some of the more likely wins against the P5. Just not the ones carrying the most weight at the end of the season like OSU, USC and OU/A&M would in my opinion.

Temple over Penn St would carry more weight because of the recruiting bump for Temple.

I think either UCF over Mizzou or Penn St would be one of the conference's most important OOC wins. Proving we can still get big wins without Bortles would be a good statement for the AAC.

Ohio State, South Carolina and Oklahoma would all make a statement.

But if UCONN beats Boise it would be big because it would give the AAC a major advantage in getting the access spot over the MWC.

True enough, but they would also have to beat BYU and win 8 or 9 conference games for a shot at the access bowl...

Excellent point. Not very eye opening on a national scale, but can have a big impact on the conference's leverage over the other "G5" leagues.
Better hope Tulsa beats Colorado State as well. Then the AAC would have both the head to head matchups of the season vs MWC. Also the BYU games will be a good comparison. BYU plays 4 MWC and 3 AAC games...

that's true- but that would also mean that Boise can't go 13-0. That's huge.

I agree with this. As one poster said, an ECU win over VT isn't what it used to be...though it would carry more weight than a UCF/Temple win over Penn St (PSU has fallen further than VT). For recruiting, yeah, I wouldn't disagree when it comes to Temple/PSU. But I thought we were talking about how the outside sports world (media, fans, etc.) would view each win. Penn St. has fallen quite a ways. UCF has already beaten them and the world didn't say too much when it happened or even at the end of the season. It was about beating Louisville and going 11-1. IMO, people really don't have high expectations of Penn St., thus wins over them aren't what they used to be. The same holds true for VT, but the expectations for them are still at a higher level. Again, beating either isn't going to get the conference a ton of respect like beating OSU, USC and OU/A&M. Just my opinion.

Not to be a downer, but after last year I'll be happy with wins over Navy & Delaware State.
Beating Vandy would be a thrill.
Beat State Penn and I could die and go to heaven.

O/U for wins out of that original list is 5.

Yep. Unfortunately, I don't think they will anyway. I'm just hoping for a better season than last year...
