This would be good news. Wonder why we didn't try to get BYU in the Miami Beach Bowl since we own it and are trying to build it up.

That's correct, we own it... Which means the AAC could invite anyone to The Beach Bowl including BYU.

This bowl will likely get our #3 team, #2 at best....Right now our contract has the SBC champ going to The New Orleans bowl and Godaddy bowl in rotating years.

I would think The Camellia Bowl will get our #4 team.

For me I would rather go to Orlando over all our other bowls. But thats because I love Orlando.

Don't know if I can find it, but Holmoe was quoted last week as saying BYU was in negotions with a new bowl that would be announced soon. Im sure that's where the speculation is coming from.

The only way BYU would be involved is if the AAC can't fullfill it. The Sunbelt will always have a team but whether or not the AAC can fulfill it is a different story. And since they have the Poinsettia lined up for 2015 it won't be until 2016 that could be a backup for the bowl.
