6 home games in all years.
I think you're missing my point.
I do think you may have a bit of an optimistic view of who you're going to bring in to Boone, would you guys consider playing in Charlotte if it meant getting a 2-1 against say South Carolina?
Anyway, your plan laid out above is fairly close to what we do, as I said in the six seasons between 2009-2014 we've had six home games every year but one. Sometimes when you start lining up more than one multi year deals, you end up like we did in 2012 where we're on the road at GT as part of a 2-1, on the road at Memphis as part of a 4-3, we bring in a FCS and then we just weren't able to find another good deal to get someone to Murfreesboro so we took a money game at Miss State.
I wouldn't have turned down the GT series, we got an attendance record for our home game and a three touchdown road victory in one of the two road games. I wouldn't have turned down the Memphis series, I wouldn't sign it today unless it was even, but that deal was negotiated back in 2007(Memphis was fresh off the Deangelo Williams years and we were still relatively new to FBS and multi year deals) as a 3-2 and eventually became 4-3 after we let them postpone a game. That series ends this year(we begin a 2-2 with Vandy next year) and we lead the series 5-1, so it ended up being a pretty good series for us.
I'm not saying you shouldn't have the goal of 6 every year, but unless you only sign 1-1's and never play more than one money game in a season, you're probably going to occasionally run into a sitituation like we did in 2012.
