Dion was always gifted athletically. If he has developed a consistent outside shot- watch out.

8ppg, 7rpg, and nearly 2 bpg while shooting at a 53% clip in 22mpg. I'd say that's pretty solid.

You miss my point, that's probably the first time you've ever seen his name and solid season together.

Well...that's also the first time he's played for a team who values post play

Especially for Mbodj. Hope he keeps it up.

RE: Purdue Transfer
The more I think about it the more I want this kid at UC. PG really worries me going forward. Neither of the guys returning do what PG's should be doing for an offense and that is getting into the lane, dishing the ball, getting the ball up the floor quickly in transition. This guy looks like a better handler and is much quicker than Caupain or Guyn. I know he cant really shoot but he looks like a major upgrade in terms of doing the little things that open up things for the rest of the players offensively.

I Guyn is our PG next year UC will struggle to make the NIT!

I wonder if Mick has ever thought of moving KJ to the point spot?
He is quick, smart, a good ball handler, and passes well.

I'm not saying he couldn't play PG but he was the SG on his HS team (PG - Antonio Woods) and his AAU team. Chad B can correct me if I am wrong as I admittedly know more about FB than BB.

RE: Purdue Transfer
With the season now finished, I guess it's time for talk about the last 2 schollies to heat up. I really like the idea of using one of them on a 5th year transfer. Speaking of which I'm sure Mick is doing his homework on all options:
Quote:Kentucky recruiting grad transfer from UNLV
By Ben Roberts broberts@herald-leader.comMarch 18, 2014 V
Kentucky might not be finished with its basketball recruiting class of 2014.
UK assistant coach Orlando Antigua called the head coach of the Compton Magic AAU program Monday night to inquire about Bryce Dejean-Jones, who will graduate from UNLV this spring and intends to transfer to another school for his senior season. Dejean-Jones — a 6-foot-5 guard — was the Runnin' Rebels' leading scorer this season.
Compton Magic Coach Etop Udo-Ema told the Herald-Leader that UCLA, Cincinnati, Florida State and Arizona State have also called about Dejean-Jones.
Udo-Ema previously coached Daniel Orton, who played for John Calipari and Antigua during their first season at UK. Another one of Udo-Ema's former players is Waki Williams, who played for Calipari at Memphis.
"I know Coach Cal very well," he said.
Dejean-Jones is still in the "embryo stages" of his decision-making process, according to his former coach. An immediate professional career has been mentioned, but Dejean-Jones seems more likely to head to another college for his senior season and then try to jump to the pros.
"He's going to check out all of his options," Udo-Ema said. "Coming back to college is going to be a great option for him, considering how heavy this draft is. That's just my personal opinion."
Dejean-Jones averaged 13.6 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game this season while shooting 32.3 percent from three-point range. He started his college career at Southern Cal, and played one year there before moving to UNLV.
His time with the Runnin' Rebels ended on a sour note. UNLV Coach Dave Rice suspended Dejean-Jones for the regular-season finale this month for conduct detrimental to the team. He returned for the Mountain West Tournament.
According to the Las Vegas Sun, Dejean-Jones was heard yelling at teammates after UNLV's season-ending loss to San Diego State last Friday. Rice announced Sunday that his leading scorer would not return for the 2014-15 season but would remain on scholarship in order to graduate...

RE: Purdue Transfer
Johnson said he is planning to visit Cincinnati and may also visit Xavier on the same trip. He'll likely visit Memphis the following weekend and Auburn the week after that. Pittsburgh has also shown interest.
"I'll probably take five visits and then make a decision," he said.

If he visits Auburn, no way Bruce Pearl will let him leave without a locker.
