I imagine they were expecting the version that basically gave up in the second half against Georgia State on Thursday. 15 points then vs 48 Saturday. Dowell with 1 FT vs 18 Saturday. The Mavericks are a pretty good team when they try but awful when they don't.

I remember the night in the Cajun Dome when South played in front of about 10K for the conference championship. Those were the days when we actually brought abut 6.5 k to every game and more for special teams like South Alabama.

Thinking, in spite of a South fallback this year, that the SBC is due to have some very exciting basketball very soon from top to bottom.

Boy you don't have to tell me. This team has some great talent, but they have rarely showed signs of team play.
