Why does Lucroy getting tagged at the beginning of the game and ECU responding with its only 2 runs in the bottom of the first and then nothing for the rest of the game with 11 LOB remind me so much of last year?

Hope they take the series tomorrow or.............................

You must be that guy in the jungle that criticizes Godwin for spitting on the wrong grain of dirt. Heard a guy one time yell "should've bunted it Billy" after a line out with runners on first and third and one out. Both batters before him had the exact same sitiuation, and had base hits advancing the runner from first to third and scoring the other. Not a peep from him then.

3-2 UVA. Pirates drop game one.

2-2 at the bottom of the 3rd, then here's the Pirates the last 6 innings.

Saw this on 247, but I think it was a typo / some kinda mistake.

First game was 3-2.

This will either be the end of Godwin after this year or the end of anyone actually taking baseball serious at ECU any longer. We are going to be mediocre again this year, maybe we squeak into a regional but we'll make an early exit and then we are going to once and for all know does our administration care about baseball anymore or not. If BG is extended after the hot garbage he has turned our program into then there's no reason for anyone to waste anymore time caring about it because the people in charge have decided it's not important.

Sure, it means you're going to have to earn your way back into a Top 25 ranking, but the season is but 8 games (14%) old. I wouldn't abandon ship until Rice sweeps you the weekend of April 4th in Houston! :--)

Oh we are going to get swept by Rice, because we can't win a series against a quality opponent. ECU hasn't won a series against a top 50 RPI team since 2010. That's a flat out joke. ECU baseball is dead until Godwin is gone.

We've already abandoned ship. Last year was the final straw for most fans. This year is just a lame duck season for many reasons. If Godwin is back next season it's only because he finally got us to Omaha.

I wish it were Omaha or BG is gone, but I have no faith that the leadership at ECU gives a damn about baseball anymore. I think if we make a regional they'll extend him.

And ECU baseball keeps the good times rolling, getting shut out by VCU today 3-0. This once proud program has become a joke.

VCU is not a bad team FWIW. Am I happy? Of course not. Do I think we should've won? Of course. Let's just see how it plays out for the rest of the year, if we don't get to a regional it's a no brainier. If we get to a regional, but don't move on. I'll just have to see what kinda regional, and season it was.

We are 0-1 in weekday games. This was a trend we HAD to reverse for the fanbase to stick with Godwin for a bit longer.
