RE: Best Stadium experience in the AAC?
We appreciate the compliments! ECU does have a GREAT atmosphere and good fans to go with it. If you come, be prepared to have a good time, eat well, be loud and "enjoy a few".

As for other trips, I'm looking forward to heading to Philly and UConn for games. Foxwoods would be a great trip (I think- please share your thoughts) and Temple. If I go to a game at Temple, I definitely want to visit a few museums and eat at both Pat's and Gino's.

Tulane will be a blast, particularly in their new stadium. SMU's stadium is supposedly the nicest in the conference... I'll look forward to trying it out.

I've also heard great things about Cinci's game days.

Hell, I'm looking forward to them all!

Finally, visit West Point if you get a chance. That's worth going to even if you're not a football fan.

Now THAT would be interesting. 03-lmfao

Whatever, I'm not a 70/80's kid, I don't know the difference lol

No worries I know it was an honest mistake. Just happens to be two very different genres of music.

Just for 01-rivalss and giggles, here is a video of ECU entering the stadium to Purple Rain.

If you go to a game in Greenville in October or November, check and see if there is a Hurricanes game on Friday or Sunday... G'Ville is an hour and 15 minutes from Raleigh, and a double header of college football and NHL hockey is nice.

Yeah...its not like UCF Fans in FLA can't get to a NHL game "next door" in Tampa...let alone those Knight fans in South FL.

I want to make a trip to UC again since the upgrades. The last time was years ago and then it was god awful. UC has really stepped it up.

I have a feeling Tulane will become quickly a great spot. The new stadium will be 100 times better than the dome for college football. I plan on making the trip ASAP.

Navy is always fun...except watching them run up and down the field on us.03-lmfao

Memphis has potential to be one of the best...they just need to put some fans in the stands. Memphis is damn fun town.

There are some decent priced flights close to my area to Philly....What are some good spots to hit? Id like to come up with my wife a couple of days early and do some sightseeing and have some fun before a game in the next couple of years.

I prefer Mohegan Sun. Either is a nice stop when going to a UConn game. They are both about 45 minutes south of the stadium.

RE: Best Stadium experience in the AAC?
Anyone making a trip to Greenville keep in mind that Greenville does have an airport. In fact, I have not driven to Raleigh in years to fly. The flights are not that much more expensive and the convenience factor is worth it.

They have direct flights from Charlotte and are in talks to add a direct to either DC or ATL.

People act like it is so difficult to get to Greenville, but we are 1:15 from Raleigh which is about how long it takes to get from an airport to downtown in most major cities.

RE: Best Stadium experience in the AAC?
I have been to UCF, Tulane, and Memphis. I had a blast at all 3. I probably enjoyed UCF the most because I went to Universal Halloween Horror which was awesome.

You can never go wrong with New Orleans. Any stadium that you can get shots of Jack Daniels is aces with me. Nightlife is second to none as well.

Memphis is fun the first couple of times, but I kind of got bored the third time I was there. If you want to feel better about your life, spend about 3 hours in a casino in Tunica. It is fun if you like 300 lb chain smoking women pumping pennies in a slot machine.

My dad an I spent the night in W Memphis Ark...across the river next to the supposedly the worlds largest dog track (the one shown in the move "the Firm") We had a blast. Cheap fun if you like dog racing. There are a couple of hotels there and no more than a 10 min easy drive to the Liberty Bowl.
