Would that be the same 94th-ranked "stud" defense that's allowing 440 YPG, or your 104th ranked "stud" passing defense, or your 58th-ranked "stud" rushing defense? Just trying to find the "scary" part, unless you meant it was scary for Coog fans. 05-stirthepot

Ucf is new... USF is better. 05-stirthepot

RE: UH vs UCF Predictions
It's going to be a tough one. For use to win....
1. Win the turnover battle.
2. No stupid penalities (holding, false Starts, personally fouls)
3. Offensive play calling (if okorn is Rollin, don't put in GWard..maybe hold off an extra series or two)
4. Cornerbacks...turn around and play the ball!!! USF got us twice in the endzone with that.

I think we have a great chance to pull off the upset if we do these 4 things (obviously)

The UCF team is comprised of Juniors and Seniors while Houston is reliant upon True Freshman and Sophmores.

UCF should win but obviosuly myself and other Cougars want things to go our way.

I dont remember there ever being this many bye weeks? Teams are a game ahead of us already now its about to be 2.

UCF future schedule, its gonna be a REALLY short week from the Temple to the Rutgers game going from a Saturday game to a Thursday game.

It's because CUSA had a championship game every first weekend in December while the AAC this year does not. So the schedule got stretched out to fit regular season games through early December, hence the additional bye weeks.

The college football season has an extra week this year, 15 weeks instead of 14.

UCF is one of the youngest teams in the nation. We only have six seniors in our two deep.

Yep 2nd youngest team in the country. We have 3 seniors on the O Line, 1 WR and thats it for starters. 07-coffee3

RE: UH vs UCF Predictions
I predict:

A close game through halftime.

Why? The most UH has been behind all year is 10 points, and both times we answered that deficit with a TD within 2 plays (both happened early in the BYU game).

UH builds a 14-17 point lead in the 3rd Q

Why? UH makes great halftime adjustments. And O'Leary's teams are notorious for sleepwalking through the 3rd Q. Unlike Houston, UCF has fallen behind 3 scores to two different teams this year by the 3rd Q.

UCF makes a furious comeback

Why? That's what they did to South Carolina and Louisville. And Houston let Rice and USF try and make comebacks despite comfortable leads.

In the end, I'm not sure who wins. It could go either way. Or into overtime.

Curious if you think UH is as good as USCe or Louisville?

I don't know if they are or not ....I guess that's why we play the games. We'll find out.

I think BYU is as good as South Carolina or Louisville.

Massey Composite (avg of 121 polls) ranks South Carolina 14, BYU 16 and Louisville 17.

Houston didn't fall behind BYU by 3 scores. Like I said, we fell behind 10 points twice in the first quarter. The first time, we returned a kickoff for a TD. The second time, we had a 1-minute TD drive.

UCF might jump out to a 21 point lead on us. It could happen. But you'd be the first team to do it against us.

BYU isn't anywhere near USCe. I agree they are on the same level if not better than Penn State.

I could be wrong but the UCF QB, starting RB, top 2 WR's, are all Juniors. But the bios are many of the top UCF players were broken links.

BYU would destroy Penn St. Like they destroyed Texas, Georgia Tech and Boise.

BYU had a poor opener, and lost a rivalry game to Utah (a team that beat Stanford). Aside from that, they have been very impressive this year.

BYU plays at Wisconsin and at Notre Dame in November. I expect they win at least 1 of those games.
