RE: UH vs UCF Predictions
UCF wins in a lower-than-expected affair, something like 26-23. I think that their D will hold Houston's O to two TDs and three FGs and that their O will run down the field in a cloud of dust, burning clock and keeping the Houston O off of the field.

I was just thinking: I really think that both Houston and UCF would beat Fresno State this year. Y'all are both pretty good...

I picked UCF to win the conference prior to the start of the season so I'm sticking with them but Houston can win this game. Games like this one will make the conference.

PS Sports Illustrated has a great article on the AAC having 3 teams in the top 11 power index. More than any p5 conference. I'd link it but this new phone is like above my pay grade.

RE: UH vs UCF Predictions
Houston has a great team and will be looking for payback after we beat them to knock them out of the top 25 when they were ranked #13 in 2010.
UCF should win but Houston has enough talent on both sides of the ball to pull off a win if UCF slips up and makes mistakes. It should be an exciting game.

Again, to early for predictions... Houston is legit again - Texas style football.

You have to be stronger than UCF at the line of scrimmage. Unless Houston has upgraded their offensive and defensive lines from last year I don't see that happening. Houston's QB will be running too much to be effective. UCF will control the clock and keep the Air Raid grounded.

UCF should win and will probably be favored by 7-10. That said houston is known for creating turnovers and if they can force 3-4 of those it'll be tough for UCF to win.

That was actually 2009. I don't think there are any players from either our team or their team that were on the respective teams then. Besides, I think the UH / USM CCG overshadowed that a little.

We have a handful who were true freshmen at the time but I don't recall any of them being major contributors back then though.

Even if UH beats UCF (assuming they beat USF), they still have to beat Louiville, else the the Knights regain advantage with head to head win over Cardinals.

UCF is in thr drivers seat

RE: UH vs UCF Predictions
You cannot compare this UH team to previous seasons teams.. We have a new coach.. all new roster.. these guys dont have the same philosophy as the old regime. You are going to be in for a surprise, if you think the same old UH team is going to show up at UCF. This is going to be a fight, close game. UCF will lose if their Bortles turns the ball over .. simple as that. He has throw 4 interceptions so far.. He had a total of 7 for the season last year. I think our D steps up and add to his total.

On Bortles Int's he has played against better teams this year...USC, Penn St, and Louisville. We know how C-usa Defenses are...I think Bortles is a good QB, and performing better in a better conference.

Would that be the same 94th-ranked "stud" defense that's allowing 440 YPG, or your 104th ranked "stud" passing defense, or your 58th-ranked "stud" rushing defense? Just trying to find the "scary" part, unless you meant it was scary for Coog fans. 05-stirthepot

If UH beats UCF and loses to Louisville, and all three teams win the rest of their games, we would have a 3-way tie for 1st in the AAC. The tie breaker would be BCS ranking.

UCF would fall out of the polls if we lost to UH, and UH would fall out of the polls if they lost to UL. Louisville would back into the conference championship thanks to their high pre-season ranking.

No that would be our number 1 ranked defense in turnover margin.
