I know we're getting many more votes, and that if we had beaten BYU we'd be ranked. But what do y'all think will happen? Will UH be ranked after this win? Personally I don't think so but I think there's a chance we will, at least in one of the two human polls.

I think maybe one more week of wins might do it, but not until then. We also need BYU to beat Wisconsin to keep moving up quickly.

0 AP votes in the last poll. Need to win the media (brain fart : AP doesn't matter in BCS ranking still must be a little tipsy from tailgate)

You almost need to be ranked in both the Coaches and the AP Poll to break into BCS rankings.

I'll say that UH will be in the Receiving Votes in both polls and 30ish in the BCS numbers

AP has nothing to do with the BCS. It's the Coaches and Harris that are part of the BCS. And we had votes in both 6 in Coaches and 4 in Harris

We should have a top 25 matchup on November 9th. Great for the American!

yeah, that's fair enough. I don't think we'll be ranked either, just thought it'd be an interesting poll.

I certainly hope so, coming into the UCF, if we walk away with the W, that will help move us up with a W against another top 25 team.

Unfortunately I don't think Houston will be ranked until they play and beat UCF & Louisville. Rutgers wasn't ranked. However, it was a good thumping you gave us today. Congratulations.

I think no and if Houston does it will be close. Michigan State is definitely going to be ranked probably taking Nebraska's spot. Then Notre Dame would be the next to squeeze their way into the top 25. I think Houston will come in around 27 and potentially become ranked if they win next week.

Maybe. There are not that many 6-1 teams. Our only loss was a 1 point loss to BYU. Wins over a 6-2 Rice and what was considered a solid Rutgers. I think we were 36th the BCS last week. If we get ranked it would be just squeaking in at #25. Being on tv vs Memphis, BYU, and now Rutgrers might help a bit as well. Prior to those games we had not been nationally televised. Today #24 lost. Right now #24 and #17 are losing on the west coast. All in all, it's probably a long shot--but possible.
