Sure should be. UH is back and look good doing it. The AAC should have 3 top 25 teams at the end of the season UL, UCF, and UH.

Nope, but Houston will be at 7-1 and an opportune loss or two from other teams. Hopefully a Top 25 matchup in Orlando in two weeks.

Come on, now. Three teams from this conference? I'm pretty sure that's against the rules.

I count 20 undefeated or 1-loss teams. A couple of west coast games might change that number slightly. It's possible we could slip in there.

It would be good for the conference but probably not this week.

I doubt you get there this week. hopefully you move up a couple of spots. You need to win next week and have a couple from the 20 to 25 range lose.

Only 2 teams lost that could or would move anyone up. The rest that lost were to each other in the top 15 or so. I dont see those affecting our positions in the rankings.

All I know is at some point UL had better drop below UCF. The pollsters are doing everything they can to try and keep them in the hunt for a BCS game should there happen to be a 3 way tie.

37 teams got votes in the AP last week, and Houston was not one of them. There is no way they go from no votes to top 25 in the AP with that many team ahead of them.

Houston did get some votes last week in the Coaches poll and was ranked 33rd, but with only 6 votes (#25 UCF had 151 votes for comparison). Not enough teams ahead of Houston lost, and Rutgers was not good enough of a team, for Houston to pickup up that many.

We might get a few more votes with the win against Rutgers and a win vs USF, but I think we would actually have to beat UCF to be ranked.

Agree. Last year we were not very good. To be honest, coming into this season, most of us would have been satisfied getting bowl qualified and finishing 6-6. We are very young. Our succes to date is ahead of schedule. If we manage to somehow get ranked at some point this year, that's just delicious gravy.

We were tied for 30th in the Coaches poll

Once the computers are factored in, we'll be 30-32 this week in the extended BCS poll.

A win over USF won't be enough to propel us into the Top 25 unless there are several upsets ahead of us.

UH should have gotten votes this week. UCF vs UH should be a great game. Look forward to watching
