The Georgia Dome is practically an on campus stadium. It is impressive and it is an asset. You don't build a program thinking "what if we only get 12k a game", rather you say "what can we do to get 40k a game". We will be fine. Thanks for your concern but if the worse that happens is that we go from one NFL quality stadium to an even more tricked out one, well then we don't really have a problem do we?
Yah, you guys just have an attendance problem, your new though so that's understandable. I know how close y'all are, heck I've been to Falcons games, Braves games, Hawks games, Tech games. I live on Winder and drive downtown quite frequently. I just like to rib you about Herndon, but what a shame. A 15,000 seat stadium on a near defunct college campus is a terrible thing to waste !

I actually don't necessarily disagree with you on the Herdon thing, and there were plenty of times when i tried to figure out a way it could work. The only real problem is that it's too far from campus. There's no real reason to do what we would need to to turn that into our stadium when 1) it belongs on another schools campus, and 2) we basically have a dome on our own campus. If Herndon were closer to us, i'd be all for expanding to 30, 35k and calling it ours, but it's not and it never will be.

The money you would spend expanding Herndon and building suites etc would buy you a new stadium that you could build in the Ted parking lots, off Irwon and Jackson NE of campus or even to replace the Atlanta Civic Center. The fact is that when there are 20k to 30k in the Dome its a great atmosphere so there is no need to even consider basically downgrading to a High School stadium because the reality is that Grady and Lakewood (both rebuilt over the last 2 years) at the HS level are 10 times better than a falling down Herndon. If we move off the GWCC property we are going to have to move into something comparable because frankly we have been spoiled since say one.
