Points off Turnovers: Michigan 17, WMU 2. That's the story right there. Officiating hasn't been great, but if we don't turn the ball over we're in this.

That's why UM is so much better though: They can turn the ball over.

Hutch has gotten hammered on the block three times. Hasn't been called any of those times.

Trey Burke just stole Brandon Pokley's lunch money on that and-one. Wow.

RE: Michigan game thread
Glad I haven't watched one second of this game.

I can watch a blowout loss and take my medicine. But not to UM, listening to that fight song, watching that arena, the refs, the walmaters, etc. No thanks.

This has actually been better than I expected with such a young team. I'm excited for the future.

Agreed.

Although while I expected lopsided, I didn't quite expect mega-lopsided.

We might not close this game within 40. Wow.

A tough learning experience for the young pups, that's for sure. Time to move on from this one.

That's about how I feel.

Defense was pretty solid in the half court for the most part. Michigan hit tough, contested shots when they got offense in the half court. The majority of their points came off turnovers and in transition where they are clearly a more athletic team.

Very disappointed in the amount of turnovers. We were not strong with the ball and made some very lazy cross court passes.

Got plenty of good looks offensively early and when they weren't falling, we seemed to force shots. Whittington taking jump-shots with his feet on the three-point line is something I'm not a fan of seeing. Ever. We just picked a bad time to shoot poorly. Still think we got some good looks, especially early.

Overall, I'm still excited about this season. This is a good learning experience and this group will be better off for having gone through this.
