My list would include in kind of this order:

Western Kentucky
MTSU
A Louisiana School ULALA or ULM, etc.
Troy & USA together. (I think we are a few weeks at least from getting down to this option)

Yeah, I don't think there is any chance that Louisville, Cincy, and UConn hang around at this point. It's just a matter of who goes to the Big XII and who goes to the ACC at this point. If that happens, I still think the basketball only schools pull the plug on that ***** and we are all back to square one, except C-USA still exists.

The true Conference WTF is what is known right now as the Big East.

I don't know that the SunBelt schools would consider CUSA at this point. With the league raided at every realignment and the strength of their FB schools the SB is a more stable league with a better upside (but, currently, no TV contract to speak of).

Just like people ask why would a team join the Big East, Cherry Picking, Big East Is grabbing the better teams/cities from C-USA and MWC, C-USA is grabbing teams from Sun Belt. There is not a Sun Belt team out there that wouldn't come to C-USA (All Sports) if asked.

It is still realignment, even if the "alignment" is temporary.

Since ECU will be FB-only, their other sports have to move also. I would guess the BB and maybe a couple others will try for the CAA...

C-USA doesn't need to add anyone else. It planned for 14 members in case something like this happened. Now that it has, C-USA will still have 12 members. No need to expand back to 14 unless further raiding is expected.

Why would think there will be no further raiding.

Until the Big 10, Big 12, & ACC figure out what they are going to do, raiding is still possible.

Heck, I can't recall how many teams each league has at this point.

Even the $EC may do some more raiding before all is said & done.
