...Going over his contract...there's tons of ways he can get more and more. his base salary, when he signed the contract was for 225k with a minimum of 5% raise, but you go on and see that the UCFAA agrees to pay him 400k for "non-exclusive use of the Coach's services for radio and television appearances." This also have a 5% annual increase. Then the 375k payment for what looks like the UCFAA using him for endorsements, another 5% annual increase. A few relatively trivial perks like getting a Box for home games, a luxury car, travel expenses. Permission to hold and profit from football camps.
Bonuses:
50k for a 6 win season
50k for winning or tying for the Divisional Championship OR 100k for a conference win
50k for a non-BCS bowl appearance
50k for a non-BCS bowl win
100k for a BCS bowl
100k for a BCS bowl win
50k if we are ranked in the preseason top 25 of any two (BCS, USA Today, AP or ESPN.com(really?)) AND 50k if ranked after the 4th regular season game in any two.
100k for being ranked in the final week in any two and 100k for being in the top 10 in the final week
55k for exceeding the NCAA's minimum APR
55k for exceeding the NCAA's average graduation success rate
55k for if the following are met:
*No violations of the University's Code of Student Conduct or Code of Academic Integrity
*No arrests, indictments or convictions for criminal or suspected criminal conduct
*No
neglectful or willful conduct which the Athletic Directory concludes violates the NCAA constitution or NCAA operating Bylaws especially those pertaining to ethical conduct
Unknown amount of compensation if no TV, Radio or endorsement sources of income come up
Attendance Bonus shall be calculated as follows (based on average game turnstile attendance):
*25k for 25000 average and
*25k for average of 30000 and
*25k for average of 35000 and
*25k for average of 40000 and
*25k for average of 45000
15k for being named CUSA coach of the year, by any "Nationally recognized Media outlet"
50k for for being named national coach of the year, by any "Nationally recognized Media outlet"
Compensation cap is 500k
