Yep, the TV's are nice. We have them at MT and it's very nice to be able to watch the game even while in line.

Nice stadium Texas State-San Marcos fans. Too bad you couldn't have eliminated the track and dug down. I think you have a water table problem, same as UNT's Fouts Field. Is that correct?

To answer the question Menace....I have seen pics with the track gone and pics with the track still in so it may be in when the season starts but I am not sure. Regardless, the track will be gone when the transformation is complete so maybe not even an issue? As far as digging down, there is a water table but it is really about cost. Not gonna happen.

In Official correspondence you first use Texas State University - San Marcos. After that, just Texas State.

Fans prefer just Texas State and even ESPN has been asked to use TXST.

There is no other Texas State in the TSUS so it's really not necessary to add San Marcos. They had hoped, when SWT was renamed, to change a couple others to Texas State University-Wherever, but those schools nixed that really fast.

Looks really nice, congrats. When the players first come out for the Tech game it will be ridiculously loud in there.

Track is currently being removed. It will be gone at the start of the season.

Those schools may change their minds in time. TSU-Nacogdoches, TSU-Huntsville, etc, etc,

3 TSU's in Texas:

TSU: Tarleton State U
TSU: Texas Southern U
TSU-SM: Texas State-San Marcos--yall still need to change your
mascot to "Armadillos", though.

I'll still take our Apogee (and the real estate its own between 2 Texas interstates) over a patchwork quilt add-on stadium. The track? We've been there--done that with ol' Fouts Field and surely TSU-SM's track is nowhere close to being the kind of football stadium track which created such a distance between the football field and the stands at Fouts. For your sakes, I hope not.

TSU-SM, we will gladly let yall have the state of Texas to yourselves as the SBC's lone Lone Star State football school. We will officially pass that torch to yall after this Fall.

Upside: I do think Coach Fran will do a good job there in San Marcos if he decides to unpack his suitcase and stick around long enough, but how old is this guy now? He desparately wanted the North Texas job last time he was at (then) SWT when we made yet another bone-head move and hired Dennis Parker.
