Eh, no one thinks they are staying anyway. WVU is probably begging and pleading their new brethren to let in Louisville.

This just makes me confident that they aren't going anywhere.

Big 12 will stay at 10, imo. They aren't going to expand until there's not a chance in hell of getting a major player, imo. The 10 team scenario apparently is becoming more and more popular with the Big 12 schools.

I think UL is a shoe in with 14. But not a shoe-in for the next round.

I realize UCF hasn't played a minute in The Big East so you're history of how Tom Jurich does things isn't that long. The reality is Tom would not have told The Big East BOD's that Louisville was leaving unless he didn't already have a destination. Mike just confirms that it was said with this piece. Right now the question is who goes with Louisville.

I guess I agree with this. I really thought for a while that the Big XII was all set with 10 teams. It does seem foolish of Jurich to mention this though, unless he knows that the Big XII move is coming. I guess I am coming around to the very real possibility that Louisville is Big XII bound.

I do not believe for a second that the Big XII could ever poach the ACC so the question of who the 12th team is becomes a tough one. My best guess

1. Cincinnati (60%)
2. BYU (30%)
3. Boise State (10%)

The hang up is #12. Nobody can agree on who it will be.

BYU was the choice. Now it may be moving toward UC.

I think Jurich is just trying to be up front compared to Syracuse and Pitt who plotted their departure in secret.

That said, just because Jurich is being up front doesn't mean Louisville is any closer to a Big 12 invitation today than they were last month, or last quarter, or last year.

I'd like an answer to one simple question.....

Unless forced to expand WHY would the Big 12 do so? They have an easier path the NC now and similar money than the other "big boy" conferences bring in.

Not going to happen please get over it!!!! Now if the Big 12 is in a situation where it needs to expand I do conceed Louisville is on the short list.

The Big 12 had to get to 10 for contractual obligations. They have met those, and exceeded the per team payout while doing so. Stoops and Mack Brown both hated the CCG format, and if A&M and Mizzou had not bolted, WVU would likely still be in the Big East, with TCU on deck. Big 12 has its 10. They clear don't want Louisville as badly as Louisville seems to want them. Not being an arse, but this is just the truth.

I am a lot like Jurich.

I straight up told my wife, because I want to be UL front with her, that I want to hook up with Angelina Jolie or Natalie Portman.

If it ever happens I don't want to be like guys in the past who have tried to be all secret about it.

You are likely going to see in the 4 team playoff that each conference will have to have a championship game and with ? # of teams, likely 12 plus.

Oh yeah? Well we fashioned our new name so that we dont even need rights! It simply looks like 16.
