RE: Fair and Balanced.
I have to admit; I fear for the Cajuns in this game. I want UL to win but man SDSU looks strong. I hope I'm wrong but I have to pick SDSU in this one.

If I had to put money (like real money) on it, I'd have to bet on SDSU...I think this will be an awesome game though. Home crowd should help the Cajuns.

Why San Diego?
Not flaming just wondering.
I think it is a pretty even match up.
Both team have defeated exactly one team with a winning record.
Cajuns Beat FIU
San Diego Beat Air Force.
Did you watch the San Diego vs. Fresno State game?
Fresno is not great and the San Diego had to come back to beat them.
I think turnovers and special teams play will determine the winner.

Methinks the primary motivation for posting this link was't to spur discussion of the New Orleans Bowl match up . . .

The Fresno game was like our ULM game, both teams came back against inferior opponents and the only reason why the other team was in the game was because of the rivalry. Both teams have similar records, things are evenly matched, but SDSU does play in the stronger conference. We couldn't say we'd do much better against TCU and Boise than they did. I think we can and will win, it will come down to us being able to slow down Lindley while in man coverage which would allow us to stack the box and focus on Hillman. I don't mention our offense because frankly, I expect us to get our points, we'll hit our normal 30.

The wildcard in all of this is Rocky Longs bowl history, which isn't good. He is 1-4 as a coach in bowl games, and he didn't coach the team in last years bowl game, it was still brady hokes team. Some coaches are better at getting teams up for bowl games than others, Tressel and Stoops continuously seem to fall flat in bowls while Saban, Carrol, and Meyer always had their teams primed for bowl games.

RE: Fair and Balanced.
As Tuffguy stated; my reasoning is that SDSU plays in the stronger conference (thought I that is debatable since we never or rarely play the MWC...no I don't want to debate it).

I think it's pretty even. For the record, I WOULD NOT put real money on this game because it could go either way. I was just saying if I "had to".
