Didn't Malzhann start out as a high school coach in that area?

Still waiting on the official press conference, but Akron hired Terry Bowden, who had been coaching at a D-II school in Alabama.

Unless I missed a school, Penn State is the only one left.

Akron will win the MAC championship in a year or two. Seriously, Terry Bowden is the best coach from the Bowden brothers. He's a DAMN good coach.

A word of advice though, keep him away from your co-eds.

I'm hesitant to agree with this. His UNA squads have consisted of FBS cast-offs with rap sheets as long as a football field. He won't be getting AQ transfers, and fewer at-risk players at Akron.

His end-days at Auburn were marked with player discipline issues as well as claims that he couldn't recruit great players. So, logically, he abandoned his team halfway through the season. There are reasons no one in the South would touch the guy.

Abandoned them? He was fired for fu**ing and impregnating a co-ed.

Yeah, I think Akron pulled a coup here. Great hire.

Have you actually seen Akron co-eds?

Akron also hired Chuck Amato as new defensive coordinator and associate head coach.
