RE: Heat wave
I work outdoors all day everyday. I hope everyone on here who does the same is staying safe and hydrated.

I had a quasi-heat related injury yesterday. I was pulling a hose around a house when the overheated rubber stretched without me realizing it. my sweat-soaked hands lost grip and it snapped back on me like a slingshot. the brass fitting on the end wacked my left hand and I fractured a bone in it.

these types of things are the incidents that occure when you are least expecting them. be mindful guys, the heat itself may not be the thing that hurts you, it could be the initial domino though.

RE: Heat wave
thanks panama, i will. had to get some xrays taken and the doc gave me some stuff to help me get my work done until the swelling went down and the pain subsided. sucks that the meds he gave me make me feel even hotter than normal.

They're one in the same.

You're sadly mistaken. Arkansas and Texas have nothing in common in except bad ex-governors.

RE: Heat wave
I walked downstairs at work for lunch, looked at my phone and saw the heat index is already 97 and decided to eat in the cafeteria rather than go out. My hat is off to the people working outside at Hartsfield International Airport. It must be 120 degrees over there.

don't like the arrangement (skip the first minute) but this Heat Wave is done by Marilyn Monroe ("Hot humid nights can be expected") and she's easier on the eyes than phil collins...
