Living on the Gulf (just a couple of blocks from the water), it's hot but not what most of you are experiencing. Temp here is in the mid-90's.

I know. Humidity has been 35% to 75% for a week. Like breathing soup.Would be a good time to keep the kids in the gym until this think breaks. It was 87 degrees here last night at midnight!

I grew up in Panama and it is always mid 90's and humid as anywhere in the Western Hemisphere but we have two oceans and it RAINS 8 months out of the year. This crap is ridiculous. It gets to 90% humidity and doesnt rain.

We all have it, even in SoFla. It was a record 97 in West Palm Beach yesterday (probably a degree or two hotter in Boca Raton, and was 96 today, with heat indexes of 105-110. Plus humidity and a tropical storm cruising nearby. :)

RE: Heat wave
It was 112 in the shade in Denton County today, and reportedly 10-12 degrees warmer in the sun.

No rain or clouds at all to relieve the heat.

The only relief is the coolness radiating from that incredibly awesome new Mean Green Stadium.

It was so hot here that the Ghost of Davy Crockett just told Tennessee "You all can go to Texas, and I will go to Hell".

It was so hot today that President Obama admitted that waterboarding sounds pretty good...

They're one in the same.

A union general stationed post-civil war in Texas once remarked: "If I owned both Hell and Texas, I'd rent out Texas and live in Hell."

So...it rained last night and it was 73 this morning. One would think the heat wave broke here. One would be wrong. Heat Indexes of 104 to 110 again here. My yard cut guy wont return my phone calls. But hey, its the first day of GSU football practice at the new facility. :D
