RE: Rising Stars InThe Big East
Could be wrong but seems to me that over the last 20 or so years WVU has been the most consistent winner?
TCU - Patterson has been there 9-10 years and they win at a very high level, although they will be challenged more
often and week in and out in the Big East.

Other programs, Cincy, Ville, Cuse (especially the Graves-McNabb era) have all had some big seasons.
To me it is a super competitive football conference.

For the last 8 years sure. But the '90s were hit or miss for WVU...undefeated regular season in 1993 but the rest of the decade was average at best with '93 being the only Top 25 finish.

Pitt is a complete mess right now, I really do hate to see them like this, I hope they find a good coach because the BE needs them to be players.

Rutgers has shown no signs of improvement since 2007. I think eventually theyll have to make a coaching change.

Cincy is a wildcard. Their coach has a lot to prove but I wouldnt be suprised if they made a jump next year.

UConn unfortunately just lost a great coach. Their teams were never that talented, just well coached. Im afraid theyll take a big step back.
It'll be WVU in the BCS, and the rest of The BEast fighting it out for 2nd place...

Luck's decision gets proven to be the correct one right off the bat...

The 90's were Miami, SU and VT as far as the BE is concerned. Of all the current BE teams, SU was the most consistant thruout the 90's by far. The 80's too.

In the '90s certainly, but SU in the '80s wasn't that good aside from the 1987 & 1988 seasons. Pitt and WVU were more successful in that decade.

RE: Rising Stars InThe Big East
WVU didn't do too badly through the majority of Don Nehlen's years. But his method was build a team, have it graduate, and then start over from scratch again. So WVU's record fluctuated a good bit...
