This option probably sounds pretty attractive to most Pitt alums. Although it's a bit late to save the recruiting class, and he needs a new OC, with Cignetti's move to Rutgers...

I know. That's why I put the 05-stirthepot icon on it. Any way you slice it, this has been a severe train wreck for Pitt football.

If I'm a Pitt fan right now, I'd be happy just to see the AD jettisoned.

I would have jettisoned Pederson the day his hand picked man, who was supposed to be all about values, got his @ss thrown in jail for being a hypocritical jerk who beats up women...

This is now 2 major football programs he's totally demolished. Why Pitt hired him in the first place is beyond me. Nebraska fired him for incompetence long ago, and he's proven why once again at Pitt...

I'm warming up to the idea of having Tom Bradley - the DC from PSU as HC. He probably won't be better than DW but who in the hell will want to work with Smiley or not know who their AD will be? At this point, I think he would be the safe pick, stabilize the situation, and wouldn't likely have Pitt fall deeper into the abyss.

I said he should be fired the minute the hired him. Outside of Miami of Ohio's 17 fans, people outside of SW Ohio really have no idea how bad of a hire that was.

I wouldn't have hired Pederson either, rath. I was in Omaha when he was canned at Nebraska, and remember the details vividly...
