RE: CFN predictions for 2010
All things considered this is probably one of the better CFN write ups I've seen...that being said.
How does he predict we'll only have one team in a bowl?
I also wish he had been less vague when he said that "at least three teams will be looking for a new coach next year at this time" but the bigger problem is the phrasing at the end when he says "at this time" I hope no one is looking for a coach in August...
On a personal somewhat biased opinion I think that our RB's are severely underrated at 7th.
Also there was one major mix-up that seems to defy logic, go beyond reasonable allowances for mistakes and make me wonder if they have an editor at CFN...
Secondaries
1. Middle Tennessee
Alex Gendreau is a great kicker, but that’s where the sure things end. The punting game will be fine, but the return game is among the worst in the country and needs a ton of work. The coverage teams also need an overhaul. On the plus side, the Blue Raiders might still have the best special teams in the conference.
2. Arkansas State
3. FIU
4. Florida Atlantic
5. Troy
6. Louisiana
7. ULM
8. North Texas
9. WKU
Special Teams
1. Louisiana
The kicking game is excellent and the coverage teams are fine. If the return game, specifically the kickoff return game, can be better, there’s a chance the Cajun special teams could be among the best in the Sun Belt. For a team with no defensive production, having a punter who can pin teams deep is a godsend. Spencer Ortega is one of the most valuable players on the team. Veteran kicker Tyler Albrecht is back after coming up with a decent 8-of-11 season including an impressive 4-of-6 shots from beyond 40 yards.
2. FIU
3. Troy
4. WKU
5. Middle Tennessee
6. Arkansas State
7. ULM
8. Florida Atlantic
9. North Texas
WTF happened there? We do probably have the best secondary, but to write in special teams info for our secondary, get our kicker's name wrong(Alan not Alex) and then say that we might still have the best special teams in the conference and then in the actual special teams unit rankings rank us 5th(I'm not saying we're 1st and I'm not saying we're not 5th, just pointing out that final little contradiction in an already seriously F'd up mess...)

RE: CFN predictions for 2010
Yeah....they predict that we'll only have one bowl team, yet they predict both Troy and MTSU to have 7 or more wins, and ASU to be bowl eligible.
They also listed our punter that transferred to the pigs, as a 1st team All SBC.

I shot him an e-mail about the bowl games and secondaries/special teams screw-ups. I didn't notice the punter transfer, so I didn't mention it.

He said he looked at his own (more dismal) SBC predictions instead of the CFN ones.
When you push out as much content as he does, you're gonna screw up something.
