With no Bush, Cheney or Republican Congress to kick around anymore, all of the left's ammunition is now exclusively targeted toward Tea Parties, a cable news network, a former governor, and a couple AM radio talking heads (all private citizens).

So you don't have video of the incident. If there is no video and all we have is a false police report, there is no proof anything even happened.

All of which are spokespersons/propagandists for the Republican party.

Where is the proof that it is a false police report. It's moronic to simply assume that it is false.

You never provide proof of any of your idiotic claims, stop with demanding others provide proof.

Never mind that I did provide proof with the police report. You want to go ahead with your trolling and say it's a false report, prove it. Never mind, silly of me.

It isn't my duty to prove it. You are the one who posted it. It is also NIU05's obligation to prove it happened as well. I see no video of it happening. I saw what appears to be a police report but can you prove what is in the police report is factual and not a politically motivated lie? Can you even prove it is a real police report? I didn't think so.

RE: Bill Clinton Compares Tea Party Members to Right-Wing Extremist Timothy McVeigh
I don't normally quote Victor Davis Hanson, but he worded this pretty well...

http://www.victorhanson.com/articles/hanson041610B.html

Quote:Apparently few on the Left realized that in their dislike for Bush, and in their tolerance for those who hated Bush, they more or less changed attitudes toward acceptable and unacceptable public expressions of dissent. So now the public sees their sudden call for polite discourse as abject hypocrisy. Even the toxic and increasingly desperate charge of racism has little currency now, and soon will boomerang back on the accusers.

[...]

I think ultimately many "progressives," adherents to relativism, feel that the past furor over Bush in all its creepy manifestations was justified because of who Bush was; but that a similar methodology (or, in fact, far softer manifestations) of dissent toward Obama is unacceptable because of who Obama is (i.e. one can act rudely toward clearly bad people, but not rudely toward unquestionably "good" people). It is that simple.

I don't believe that the TEA Party is inherently violent. It is true that they do have there bunch that would love to be violent but they are small and relatively quiet.

With that being said, I don't even think the tea party has a complete cause. Some are using it to say that they are sick of government, some just want to put a republican in the White House, some are using it to renounce both parties, I've even seen signs that said that ________ University College Republicans against democrats. There's a reason that the GOP wants to keep them in their back pocket. That's because they know that they are the type of people that will show up and donate to candidates.

I'd like to see where you get this from. Sounds like more political conjecture on your part than anything else. Care to elaborate what BUNCH you are trying to tie to the Tea Party today.

Nomad was more correct the first time. They very likely have their bunch.

Why is it so difficult to believe that every large activist/protest group is liable to attract a few undesirable fringe elements, bent on their own not-so-pleasant motives. Someone will spit, someone will shout an ethnic slur, someone will want to get physical, someone will make an over-the-top sign, someone will throw something, etc. Hell, some of this behavior isn't out of place at a large sporting event. While it's the majority, it's unrealistic to think 'everyone' attending is a well-adjusted, reasoned individual.

Protests, no matter what political stripe, tend to draw out the particularly loud and confrontational from the woodwork -- the ones that ultimately wind up on television or websites because of their outrageousness. They might make up only 1% of the crowd, or 3%, or 5%, but they are there.

There's nothing wrong with admitting that a political or social cause you support might attract a few loonies with different motives. You're not guilty by association (no matter what partisan politicians, media and bloggers try to label you as).

Probably exactly like that with different intentions. I don't think any demonstration in American history has lacked a fringe element. Are you honestly gonna say that there ain't a bad apple in the bunch? True we haven't seen it, but it's probably out there.
