But either way, the Mountaineers will be fine...

If I was an 18 or 19 year old QB I'd much rather play at WVU than at MSU.

Me too. I'd rather be anywhere than anywhere in the State of Mississippi...

How about Starkville? I always hear about Oxford but don't hear much about MSU? Hopefully the cow bells aren't stolen from around the necks of the coeds in the parking lots.

Both the Louisville Rivals and Scout sites have confirmed that Bruinetti is scheduled to visit Louisville this weekend.

Louisville coach Charlie Strong's fast start on the recruiting trail has ruffled feathers around the South, where Strong has landed recruits that were previously thought to be headed to Georgia, Miami, Clemson and Florida State. Now Strong is bringing in a quarterback that wants to visit Louisville, but is committed to Big East rival West Virginia. CardinalSports.com has more. [details]

Plenty of beautifull Mississippi Belles in Starkville too.

If your a guy who washes his hair and takes a shower at least ounce a week and your car can travel more than 1/2 a mile before breaking down...those ladies will be beating down your door to get to you in Starkville!

RE: Rumor in Memphis is that Brunetti may be having second thoughts about WVU
There are plenty of pretty girls no matter where you go. I can think of a lot of places where there are many more beautiful women than Starkville. Now whether or not they are as easy as the girls in Mississippi is debatable...

However, from what I've gathered, it seems Brunetti doesn't think he can beat out Geno Smith and doesn't want to sit. If he's looking for a starting QB job with a chance to get to a BCS game, he'd do better at Louisville than MSU. Mississippi State won't win the SEC in the near future. You can take that to the bank...

Starkville is located in a dry county. That's about all I know about it. I've never been.

Don't go out on a limb or anything. State has won exactly ONE (1) SEC football championship in the 78 year history of the SEC and that was in 1941.

Someone from Rivals reported on a local Memphis radio show this morning that Brunetti is visiting Memphis this weekend. Don't know if the links above are incorrect, if the guy on the radio is incorrect, or if he is squeezing in two visits this weekend.

I would be shocked if he chooses Memphis, but you never know. It wouldn't be the first time a local kid chose the hometown school even though it was in a lower tier conference. Chris Redman decided to go to Louisville when it was still in CUSA. There may have been some extenuating circumstances for Redman, though.

He was in Louisville this weekend and according to him he had a great visit.

Louisville according to him really help themselves and he likes that fact he could get immediate playing time @ UofL and now the Cardinals are right up their with WVU and Mississippi State.

Dan Mullens already had his in home visit and WVU Bill Stewart will have his Tuesday and Charlie Strong will be the final in home this Thursday and then he will make his final decision. Looking between the lines it looks like a BIG EAST battle for Rivals.com Number 3 Dual Threat QB.

Geno Smith breaking his foot again could work in the Mountaineers favor with Brunetti...

You also have Jeremy Johnson who should be a 4 Star by looking at his tape. Whatever happens WVU will be fine @ QB.

I agree. I'm not worried, no matter how Brunetti's decision turns out. I'm sure you're hoping he comes to UofL. A good QB would really help in the rebuilding efforts...

Luckily we already have Marcus Smith who is a 3 Star Dual Threat QB who is very good in his own right. I am just glad to be back in the game but I know it will take 3 years to compete for a BIG EAST title.

Much stronger league Top to Bottom then when we first entered back in 2005. Now you have no weeks off in the BIG EAST.

One thing about Brunetti is that he's already proven himself as a winner...

Here is an article confirming it is a three school race - Louisville, Miss. State and West Virginia - and indirectly discrediting the guy on the radio from Rivals who reported he was visiting Memphis.

This is really frustrating. Johnson is a great player but WVU really needs depth at the position for next year. If Brunetti wants to stay closer to home fine, but he should have said something in August..not wait to mid January. He has really put West Virginia in a horrible position. Players shouldn't commit untill there committed...its a shame that is lost on a lot of them

IMHO - potential recruits and current players do not owe anyone but theirselves a thing; they are not paid and would be treated like dirt if their services were no longer wanted or needed.
