I could care less if they said "I hate black people!" as they threw them out on the street. It is a private pool. GTFO and quit crying. Don't want this to happen in the future? Get your own pool and keep the white kids out....

(P.S. I think we all know that would never happen... [Image: Green_smiley.gif])
Oh to have never encountered racism to be able to type the above so easily...

I know you are the "Race Pimp", but quite frankly I am sick of hearing about bull$hit like this occurrence. When will the black community stop blaming other people for their problems? Every other minority race seems to not have any problems, but it seems at least weekly I have to hear about how difficult it is for the black American to survive in a white man's world. Grow up and quit blaming other people (whites) for your circumstances. In this day and age everyone has the same opportunity to succeed.:soapbox:

If safety were a concern, it seems like a better way to handle this would've been to have 20-30 kids go to the pool at a time rather than have all of them there at once. (Go to their web page and you get the apropos message "403 Forbidden").
All you people talking about the kids being invited in free need to reread the article and the bolded part above. Money was paid for these kids to be their, so Mach's insane movie theory goes out the window. Also the management knew these kids were coming, therefore proper arrangement for safety should have been made or adding 65 extra kids at the time they should up was not considered a safety issue.

Actually I was thinking that you should use some more discretion in reading the article. YOu have made many assumptions:
1 Reliability of the author
2 Reliability of "witnesses"
3 Motives of concerned parents including
a Why they joined this pool
b Why they pulled their kids

And there are a whole lot of relevant details that aren't mentioned or discussed in this article, such as

1 Ages of kids
2 Previous discussions by members re: renting the pool out

There is plenty more to add to both lists.

Furthermore, the author has let her opinion flavor the article completely, it's impossible to separate fact from opinion here. THis is not uncommon, some might argue that this is inevitable, but I don't get the same tone when I read WSJ articles. This article is crap, and it's worse than worthless, it's destructive.

Can't trust anything the MSM puts out. All lies...it probably didn't even take place in PA. 05-stirthepot

I'm all for banning you again if you can't post better sarcasm. You're jokes are tired and dull.

If arrangements were made is it not logical to assume the pool owners would make sure that there would be no safety concerns, That is all I am saying. I have no problems with you anyone attempting to defends the actions as not being racist. I even gave a post on an article more friendly to the pool management that showed them some support.

Then I misunderstood.

Frankly the safety concerns could either be:
1 An oversight by Sen Mgmt (you say it's not logical, but people make mistakes.)
2 A miscommunication by Sen Mgmt w/ the scheduler
3 No-show by a scheduled lifeguard
or IMO most likely
4 An excuse by Sen Mgmt to explain the expulsion.

I believe those kids were kicked out at the parents' requests. However, that doesn't automatically indicate "racism." But, since the majority of people have come to that conclusion thanks to the wretched excuse for newspaper writing, the Pool Manager had to come up w/ an excuse to save face.

The safety concern could also be....fear of black folks.03-idea

I don't buy it this safety excuse. I still want to see how many of the white folks show up when and if these kids come to the pool....I bet you that they will have a "private" pool party if this occurs.05-stirthepot

This situation does not smell of chlorine.
