With his bat, and the other options regardless how poorly he play's third he's still the best option for them. (and he's doing just fine I'd like to point out).

I'm hoping when it's clear that Beckham has settled in offensively (he's getting there) that he can split time between 2b/3b and then go with the hot bat from among Fields/Getz/Nix.

Of course, I also hope Wise get's DFA'd the moment Quentin even looks healthy. We'll see about that.

Supposedly Quentin may try coming back after the all-star game but it's looking more like he'll miss the rest of the season. I was told this by someone else but I have no reason not to believe him or that statement.

If I recall correctly, isn't Quentin's injury the same thing Marcus Perez had going into the Independence Bowl last December?

Much less expensive and the ride can be alot longer if the WS can build a winning corps of players from the minors. That's how the Twins have been as competitive as they have been the last 25 years

The Twins have only been competitive since 2002...before that they had 70 win season for 10 years.

The Sox definitely have some good youngesters, I hope the Cubs can start building a Minor Leauge system..I like what Tom Wilken has done so far in the drafts, hopefully it'll continue.

The Twins won 2 WS in 87 and 91. Ask any Cub fan if he'd trade 11 seasons of mediocrity for 2 WS titles. The reason why they weren't competitive between 91 and 02 had as much to do with ownership as their baseball people. The owners of the team at that time just weren't committed to putting a winning product on the field. THe current owners are spending more $ than the previous ownership group

I'll just take one world series, I wont be greedy and ask for two just yet. I didn't even realize they won 2 WS in 5 years, I was just a wee little boy back then and only cared about shitting myself and watching the Ninja Turtles. When I started actually caring about baseball, all I knew about the Twins was Kirby Puckett and their mediocre teams.
