RE: New Virginia Poll
Yeah, all the people from Maryland keep moving to NoVA b/c there are jobs, roads, decent schools and low taxes. Then they insist on trying to make government just like Maryland...and the schools have fallen fast, the roads are crowded, and taxes are going up.
Brilliant.

Northern Virginia is the DC suburbs and is pretty liberal. Add in the large African American population and you have a horse race.

RE: New Virginia Poll
You still have a very Conservative rural areas that won't back a pro-abortion liberal like Obama. Very much like Ohio where the liberals poll well, until election day when the rural conservative folks show up and the the liberals wonder how they losts. Taxes, abortion and gays are three issues where liberals are out of touch on the mainstream american public. Add in the fact he is the first half black to run for president and that puts more doubt into the polls.

Didn't used to be. But the Fed Gov't growth has bloated the area.<- full disclosure, I'm part of the problem.
But, I'd be happy to go back to Ohio, but that place has been trashed by both state and federal governments.

Right, because the school systems, jobs, roads, etc. are so wonderful here in conservative Eastern NC, and the deep south.

I was thinking whenever there is a recession, that is the only place it will never hit.

Hey, it speaks truth ! !
That dude in Ft. Collins is being heavily influenced by his leftists down the road in "The Republic of Boulder". The new U of Colorado Pres. hasn't finished cleaning up the mess down there yet. He will. The faculty doesn't like him. The LA students don't like him. Mr. Benson must be doing a great job.
