Veddy interesting. CNN is reporting that the McCain camp wants to postpone the Friday debate and instead have that debate on Oct. 2nd in St. Louis (which is when and where the VP debate was supposed to take place). The VP debate would be postponed indefinitely but eventually could be in Oxford. In other words, Sarah needs more time to pull some all-nighters.
RE: BREAKING NEWS - McCain suspends campaining to focus on economy
Barry O. will do like he always does hide in the shadows vote present then talk about how he pull together bi-partisan support for his bill. If he was serious about help the economy and being a leader, he would follow McCain's LEAD and suspend is campaign too head to DC and get a plan worked out.

A-HA! But this is what McCain and all the republicans want....Obama to follow so they can say McCain is a leader. This is nothing more that a political stunt. Do you really think the addition of these two people who know nothing about the economy is really going to help that much Herd? Come on.
RE: BREAKING NEWS - McCain suspends campaining to focus on economy
Saying he's "suspending" his campaign is STILL a form of campaigning. "Hey, look, America, I care so much about the economy that I'm going to stop campaigning. But of course I'm going to make a big statement about it. And of course I have to point out that it was I, and not Obama, that stated this and that I have asked him to do the same and if he doesn't, well, you'll see who cares most about America...."
Double speak BS.
And btw, if his campaign is suspended then I assume he will stop running TV commercials and accepting donations? I assume all his analysts and campaign staff will be taking a mini-vacation? Yeah right.
In any case, neither McCain or Obama sit on any committees that are relevant to the topic. Their presence in DC would only add to the circus. McCain wants a day to prepare for the debate and is using this as an excuse to get it.

Is that why he's behind in the polls? Or is that why he isn't going to get 50+ percent of the vote?
RE: BREAKING NEWS - McCain suspends campaining to focus on economy
I guess McCain is stopping all media. We have ordered to pull all the McCain ads at the radio station I work at. Still not sure how this helps the economy since they were already scheduled. More proof its just all for show.
RE: BREAKING NEWS - McCain suspends campaining to focus on economy
I was thinking yesterday morning that it was unseemly for these two senators to be out campaigning if this is really the once in a century financial crisis it's made out to be. To that extent, I'm glad to see that McCain did this ... it's certainly what I would have done (not that anyone here would ever vote for me).
I have to wonder if this isn't Obama's "my pet goat" moment.
RE: BREAKING NEWS - McCain suspends campaining to focus on economy
Letterman does bring up a good point. You wouldn't think that McCain would just stop the campaign. In almost any other case like this, wouldnt it be logical to have the VP step in and keep campaigning. I would like one of the Marshall fans or Rebel to tell me why this didn't happen.
