Has anyone seen anything in the media or that is semi-reputiable about this? The only source I have seen is the one poster linked above

This would not be a 5-5 series. A 5-5 series means 5 games at Syracuse and 5 games at Notre Dame. This would be a 0-5-5 series. It is 0 games at Syracuse, 5 games at Notre Dame, and 5 games at the Meadowlands. The Orange should insist on nothing but a 3-3-4, 2-2-6, 1-1-8, or 0-0-10 arrangement. Otherwise the Fighting Irish should be told to go pound sand.

I thought this was as good a place to post as any. UC-ND seems to have dropped off their future schedule: http://www.cfbpalace.net/future/cincinnati.pl

Wonder what it has to do with the ND AD transition?
