Choran, does that really matter? I assume you're a good enough fan to realize good football when you see it. Watching SEC games it's obvious the level of talent greatly exceeds any other conference. One word describes SEC Football: SPEED! They are going to dominate the bowl scene this year.

i don't know if this matters to anyone now, but remember florida vs ohio state. we all know how that turned out!

I know the SEC is good, if not great I'm just tired of everyone talking about how great the SEC without anything to back it up. They are better then almost every conference, but all they have done is beat each other and no other real teams. I am not willing to say they are the best conference just because, when there are conferences who have proven themselves against tougher out of conference competition.

They beat up on each other because most of them are so good. It's hard to go undefeated in the SEC. That's why i think Auburn got shafted in 2004 when they were the first undefeated SEC team to not go to the NC. I like the parity in their conference. I get sick of seeing one or two teams dominate their individual conference year in and year out (i.e. Michigan & Ohio State in the Big Ten, USC in the PAC-10, and Texas & Oklahoma in the Big 12). College Football has been fun to watch this year since most of your traditional powers have been laying eggs.

did you read that Appalachian state is now SIXTH place in the conference?
Does not take much or long nowadays to go from the penthouse to the outhouse.

Perhaps there is some messaage and consolation buried in the wake of all the upsets and topsy/turvy 2007 season re: Huskies and hopes for a much better 2008.
