I haven't been here in a long time, but I just got back from the game and had to chime in.
the only thing sadder than that loss was seeing the predictable demise of another bronco team due to coaches leaving. this D coordinator is horrible. Ameer wasn't god, we've got good players.
shafer held USC to 23 tonight and beat them. nuff said?

figure a way to get 60,000 in the gate every game or get some BCS money. You really think we are going to be able to double someone's salary to keep them here? You have to be realistic. Shafer is gone and will not be at stanford long either. That ship has sailed.

How the hell do you know my disposition? You obviously don't, and I grew tired of you bragging about your portfolio like you were the only one that had one.
Take a hike, you prick.

then we'll keep losing, this D1 thing will eventually implode, and GVSU will overtake us in 10 years
Somebody has to do something

I see that sad future as well unless we take bold steps.

BackinKazoo: I'm glad to see you're future is laid out, and you're on your way to becoming independently wealthy. However, if you truly plan on being independently wealthy, your best move would be to "GetOUTofMichigan." While I like Kalamazoo and I like Michigan, it wouldn't be my choice to start a career in at this stage of the game.

I am wishing I would have taken that first coaching job in texas or florida.
I'm in North Carolina now, it's closer to Michigan, it isn't the "deep south", it isn't miserable in the summer (like Florida/Georgia, but also not as nice as FL/GA in the winter) and the economy is pretty strong. Jobs though, do not pay as much as they do in the Midwest, unless you're at the top. But the cost of living is defiantly fair, though air fare is always a little pricier to the Midwest than the Coasts for some reason.
Michigan is a great state though, but the economy is just awful, plus it's good to get away from Michigan (like any where else) if you've lived there your entire life. You experience new things outside the Great Lakes, and you can always move back if it isn't what you thought it would be. Virginia is another great state to live in as well.

I'm one of the few (smart) folks that can hack it here in MI.
The reason why I haven't been here is because of a great new opportunity I took in TC - so I'm not moving anywhere.
I can't watch this chit anymore, it's the same chit, different implosion cycle. This program just doesn't have it, never will.
Hell, CMU has a sign on US 131, just north of Kazoo, mocking us saying "Better Football, Better Grades" with a picture of Levefour - how is that sign not painted brown and gold?
Guys, its just not in the cards when you run a program like this.

Yes, and TC is a boom town
Golf courses going out of business, Hotels that are half finished and falling into Chapter 11. Oh yes, you'll make your fortune there.
I do love your positive outlook though.

My brother cashed out of the northern lower in August, and retired to Boulder (51), and isn't looking back. He considers himself lucky.
Enjoy the cherry fest, say hi to arrohead for me. Wow.
