Big East scoreboard 9-22-07
#23 South Florida vs North Carolina

The Bulls are simply CARVING up UNC's defense for huge runs!

#5 West Virginia hosting ECU, that's scoreless. #18 Louisville hosting Syracuse (First Big East conference game of the year), and that is scoreless. Still to come Cincinnati and Marshall, and Connecticut/Pittsburgh.

South Florida takes an early 7-0 lead. I have feeling that North Carolina is going to get SLAUGHTERED today! USF vs West Virginia is going to be a HELL of a game!

I'm surprised at the UofL-Syracuse score.

I'm surprised to, I'm trying to figure out how the 'Cuse scored, a TO or a drive.

West Virginia with an AWESOME run down to the 2yard line! ECU is about to get hammered!

Do the Tar Heels have a running game? They came out throwing four straight passes before suffering a big sack, followed by a penalty, to make them punt on 4th-and-22 from their own 45. Not a good way to start their day. But it is an awesome way for the Bulls to get going.

I don't think they do. I think they passed a lot against East Carolina to.

Andrew Robinson threw a 79 yard touchdown pass to Taj Smith on the first play from scrimmage to give the Orange the early lead against the Cardinals.

A 64 yard reverse by Darius Reynaud set up the first touchdown for the Mountaineers. Steve Slaton took care of the rest by punching it in from there.

Syracuse is up 7-0 and now have the ball in Louisville's territory after a great pass. Louisville has NO defense, I mean it's a joke!

RE: Big East scoreboard 9-22-07
I know Louisville graduated some really good defensive players and had a coaching change but this is baffling. A defense should not going from a Big East championship and a BCS bowl victory to getting carved up by MTSU, Kentucky, and Syracuse.

I imagine that the Cardinals offense will eventually get it going and score enough points to beat the Orange if the game turns into a shootout but this is just plain weird right now. And when did Andrew Robinson suddenly develop a big passing arm?

That's what I'm wondering about Robinson! I think that Kragthorpe's DC must be trying to implement a new system that isn't working, that's my only theory because it's baffling to me to!

West Virginia goes up 17-0 as Pat White scores on a 13 yard TD run. Key plays on the drive were a 17 yard run by Slaton, a 12 yard pass to Tito Gonzales (so the Mountaineers actually use their tight ends after all), a 13 yard pass to Dorrell Jalloh, and a 9 yard run by Owen Schmitt.

UL's special teams look to be as bad as their defense :)

Very nice! A convincing West Virginia win will help in the polls! Florida is having trouble at Ole Miss right now. LSU has to play #12 South Carolina. LSU is at home, but a Spurrier team is a tough team so we'll see.

South Florida now leads North Carolina 14-3 after the Tar Heels kick a 40 yard field goal. The Bulls are threatening to score again, though, as they have a 3rd-and-10 on the 15 yard line.
