WEST: UTEP, UTSA, Texas State, North Texas, Rice, Arkansas State, Louisiana Tech, ULL, Southern Mississippi, UAB

EAST: Western Kentucky, Middle Tenn State, Alabama State, Georgia Southern, FIU, FAU, Charlotte, Marshall, + two more
The divisions would function more as two separate conferences with a postseason affiliation in football and basketball. I guess the biggest losers would be Idaho, NMSU, Troy, ULM, and a couple other Sun Belt leftovers. Just a thought.

Great, a 20 school conference that gets a single bid to the NCAA tourney conference! Fantastic thinking!
