I agree, and it looks like he has the least amount of interest from other schools so far as well. I think any of those three would be a great get though, and even better if we could snag two of them!

With 3 scholarships in this class, we'll probably only see one big as long as we keep Steere and Dodd on the roster. They have offered several big guards/small forwards ranging from 6'6"-6'9" but I wouldn't categorize them as true bigs. I would imagine they'll try to land one of them as well. Also, Pridgen was a solid rebounder at Holy Cross even though he was undersized.

Question for the basketball minds. If you have a big or two on the floor, does it make it easier for the guards to rebound vs putting 4 guards out there who could be undersized by the other team. Just curious to the thought process there. I could see a scenario, in which having 1 or 2 bigs on the floor could take the attention from larger opponents and leave guards more free to dive in there on rebounds. On the flip side, I could also see having 4 guards out there with max speed flying all over the paint and sending 1 or 2 in for scrappy rebounds on every shot.

For those of you that have been around the game and/or coached at a significant level... is one of those a better option than the other?

Just trying to get my mind to justify the use of so much guard play. I know we played that style under Keatts and it was effective, but I also recall the issues with it.

Just opinion, obviously i'm not dealing with kids that are 6'5 ++ Hard to say honestly. But i looked at Holy Cross last year knowing Pridgeon was a good rebounder. He was their number 1, a 6'5 kid their #2, #3,#4, 6'8, 6'9.

Certainly if you have someone like Devonte it opens up lanes for smaller guys to rebound. If you have guys like Pridgeon that have shown the knack for knowing where the ball is it helps to offset size a tad.

The RJ Felton kid they seem to be recruiting hard averaged 8 rebounds per game at 6'4", so just by his stats he looks like he fits that mold of a smaller guy that has a knack for snagging the ball.
