That is my assumption as well. I hinted at this earlier this week, but Teel was set to announce on March 18th, and then didn't make the planned announcement. A few days later (I think it was four days) Carr committed. With the limited number of scholarships available, plus Shy presumably returning, it didn't make sense that we'd take two point guards in this class. Teel committing to WSSU doesn't concern me at all.

We have one spot available and at least four open offers now. I'm not sure he'd take a commitment from any of the four today. Maybe I'm way off, but I assume he's waiting to see what Harvey and/or Mason decide before he take a final commitment. Even though I hope y'all take everything said on an anonymous message board with a grain of salt, I like to add that this is complete speculation.

Two other notes, I was reading Matt Lynch's article today and noted that he referenced a hiring freeze throughout the coaching profession due to COVID. Gary, do you think the list you provided last week is final, pending the freeze being lifted (whenever that may be). Secondly, Evan Cole trimmed his list and UNCW wasn't there, not that there was ever anything more than message board speculation.
